Riot Fest has revealed the lineups for its Chicago and Denver festivals, and to say they’re impressive would be an understatement.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Chicago installment will take place September 12th – 14th in Humboldt Park. The lineup is topped by The Cure, The National, Wu-Tang Clan, Jane’s Addiction, Slayer, and a reunion of Glen Danzig’s band Samhain. Other notable acts include The Flaming Lips, Weezer, Rise Against, Descendents, Patti Smith, Thurston Moore, Billy Bragg, Tegan and Sara, The Afghan Whigs, Superchunk, GWAR, Kurt Vile, Mastodon, Buzzcocks, and Taking Back Sunday. What’s more, Pussy Riot members Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alekhina will make an appearance.

Also set to play Riot Fest Chicago are Failure, Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, Metric, Cheap Trick, Taking Back Sunday, The Offspring, NOFX, Hot Snakes, The Murder City Devils, Andrew W.K., Bouncing Souls with Marky Ramone, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Mudhoney, Dashboard Confessional, Die Antwoord, The Get Up Kids, Stiff Little Fingers, Wavves, Cerebal Ballzy, Circa Survive, Clutch, RX Bandits, Dandy Warhols, The Orwells, and Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears.

The Denver festival will take place September 19th – 21st at May Farms in Byer, CO. The Cure, The National, Wu-Tang Clan will again serve as headliners, alongside other notable acts such as Slayer, The Flaming Lips, Weezer, Rise Against, Primus, TV on the Radio, Descendents, Social Distortion, Glassjaw, Failure, Bob Mould, Buzzcocks, Hot Snakes, Taking Back Sunday, and Sublime with Rome.

Rounding out Riot Fest Denver’s lineup are Violent Femmes, NOFX, Die Antwoord, Bouncing Souls, Manchester Orchestra, New Found Glory, Face to Face, Stiff Little Fingers, La Dispute, Cerebal Ballzy, Dum Dum Girls, Big Freedia, The Orwells, and The Menzingers.

Riot Fest has also announced the addition of The Cure to its Toronto festival, which takes place September 6th – 7th in Downsview Park. The rest of the lineup, which was announced last week, includes The National, Death Cab For Cutie, Death From Above 1979, The Flaming Lips, Social Distortion, The Afghan Whigs, Paul Weller, Metric, Rise Against, Stars, Dropkick Murphys, Bob Mould, Thurston Moore, Buzzcocks, Glassjaw, and The New Pornographers.

Tickets to all three festivals are now available through the festival’s website. A press release notes that even more bands will be announced soon.

That's actually a damn good lineup. I hope Janes continues with these Vegas shows sets. PLEASE do not go back to starting off shows like this:
Underground
MNT
JUST BC
Been Caught
Aint

Where's the NY love for a Shocking Set.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'd go see that for The Dandy Warhols and Failure alone.

In fact I caught Failure at Cinquanta 3 days ago and they are fucking amazing live.

How sad we've taken to begging them to play a set that's one album from start to finish.

i don't get the demand since you only get a couple songs they don't play anyway.

i would understand the demand for ritual.

obvious
of course
classic girl
no one's leaving

Well I hate Strays so I'll take Nothings Shocking or Ritual straight through plus 5 other songs anyday.

I couldn't agree more. I almost said the exact same thing but was feeling lazy. IF you're going to settle for an album set, Ritual or XXX would be a lot more interesting. NS is the least of the original 3. There's nothing on it they haven't played over the last few years if I recall correctly.

Why is it so hard for them to play Kettle Whistle or one of the many interesting deep cuts they could throw in?

I'd really to see The Cure and Paul Weller again. Many others too..

I haven't been to Downsview Park where the Toronto show is going to be. Only 2 day passes for $179.98 or VIP 2 day passes for 289.98. available.

Is anyone here familiar with Humboldt Park? Is it in Chicago or outside of the city?

Patti Smith doing Horses would be pretty cool. I agree that it will probably be The Cure.

Btw, why just two days for Toronto?
