They must really be pissed at each other to not cash in again.

With no Sorum again does this mean Weiland is back with Camp Freddy?

Means an even bigger payday for the 2025 'Viagra and Dobel Tequila Present Jane's Addiction's 40th Anniversary Reunion Tour' with Etty on bass.

Yep. I would have gone to Belly Up San Diego if it was on. Look like next we see Perry with Janes will be Rock n Roll hall of fame or a Summer festival show when he's 57!

if i were to guess .. i would say all the ass kissing by the band at the star on the walk of fame ceremony meant that the band had a big fight over "kind heaven" and perry is now doing it solo .. i would even guess that dave and stephen are the ones saying "sorry not interested" .. tgea sales were a real nail in the coffin i am sure .. hopefully kind heaven will fail miserably and maybe the band will come back together with something of quality for a change .. maybe even beg captain douche to rejoin for a record ..

Eric A nailed it, perhaps unknowingly, on his recent release. He integrated lines from TS Elliot's Hollow Men.

One line in particular speaks to the demise of Jane's Addiction (which in many ways happened a long time ago): Not with a bang but with a whimper

I could see them not trotting it out ever again, and going away quietly.

At this point I have a hard time believing they'll ever kill this band. They'll keep trotting out it's rotting corpse every time they need a paycheck.

They should call Eric and do one more farewell tour next summer, and release two songs with Eric.

Any new year starting with an absence of Jane's live is a good, no great start.

No that is the opposite of what they should do.

They should get a new singer. PFP too.

And Perry can stick to making disco music with his wife.

I'll bet janes could function better with Scott Weiland as their singer.

And he already knows Mountain Song so he has 10% of their set already memorized.

I have this fantasy where Dave and Stephen go full on "fuck it" mode, the get Eric and get a new relevant singer. Maybe a girl?, or someone with crazy cred. Trent...maybe Robert Plant, maybe Peter Murphy?

Get Rick Rubin to record you, and have him pick the singer. The core three of Jane's has magic left in them I can feel it.

That they aren't cashing in this NYE speak volumes.

This is a perfect point: Perry is moving towards EDM/Musical Theater and if you're Dave and Stephen, you can very easily say " Good luck with that, we can't wait to hear it! " Then go off start a new band with someone great and new singing and move on.

I think Dave may have put out his last album ever

Dave has 2 solo albums in the works

He'll probably finish them as soon as Ink Master is done :lolol:

Perry will most likely sell a lot of albums with Kind Heaven because EDM is so popular now :jasper:

I'm sure Perk and Chaney will be fine :eyes:

Oh for god's sake. How quickly we forget The Panic Channel. Are we going to blame the generic 90s alt rock on that one on Steve Isaacs?

Dave, Perk & Avery team up for a low key project al la decon.

Something low key & arty.

THAT would definitely be the final nail in the relationship between Dave & Perry.

Maybe they learned their lesson.

TGEA certainly was a huge turnaround from what Strays and TPC had been.

Let's not forget some of the instrumentals that they leaked that didn't become songs.

The instrumental members of Janes still have it. They just need the right singer to pick the right music to work with.

You sound almost exactly like you did getting hyped for TPC. I am honestly stunned that you could possibly think these guys wouldn't make another generic rock record with another idiotic choice for a singer.

Who's the say those sound clips weren't rejected by Dave and Perk after Perry encouraged them to write something that sounded more like Jane's?

These guys have proven what they want to do without Perry in the fold, and its almost as bad as what Perry does without them. Dont kid yourself.

I will eternally be convinced that Perry is the problem.

Without Perry Navarro does cover songs. Period. Stop the nonsense already. Janes needs Janes. On their own all 4 guys haven't done much. Perry had P4P which was ok.
