"it's never been done before" no fucking shit. :lolol:

this has to be the stupidest thing perry has ever come up with. someone has to be honest with this guy and tell him what they really think. i bet the p4p guys are thrilled.

i really hope this actually happens (which it won't).
What are you currently working on?
Kind Heaven is my project and it’s a dance project. I worked with Joachim Garraud, myself and Etty [Lau Farrell, his wife] and Zeds Dead did a track, this young kid. I’ve got tracks from a couple of other producers, but most of it’s been done by Jochaim and it’s going to be in Las Vegas, immersive theater, a musical. It’s something you’ve never seen.

Is there a timeframe for taking it to Vegas?
Hopefully it will take me eight months to get it going. But it’s pure dance mixed with theater. We’re looking to do it in Vegas and then Etty and I will take it out on the road.

So will this be a full-time project? Because I know you’ve also been working on Porno for Pyros’ tracks?
I did a couple of Porno tracks and I love those guys but I have to weigh out my workload. I’m getting into dance right now, I already have like 12 finished tracks. For the next year it’s gonna be Kind Heaven.

So a Janes Haitus for this! and now no Porno? Please. Lame. Come to your senses Perry. Your a rock guy, not a DJ. Here's how it goes, Kind Heaven in 2014. Money loss. Money needs to be made, Janes in 2015.

gah. something like the latest Bowie record he might be able to pull off if he had a good Rubenesque producer guiding him (as in Rick, not a chubby person). The rave club stuff he's bent on breaking thru to pleases no one but him and his wife. Not rock fans, not dance fans.

This comment was in the comments section of that article.
Perry Farrell should try blending music with music, for a change
Okay which one of you guys here wrote that?

I think PF is several years too late for the dance music scene. Maybe he and Madonna can get together for an immersive dance extravaganza. :noclue:

Rick Rubin is kind of Rubenesque.

here is another reason "kind heaven" will never happen. if this is so groundbreaking use your own money perry.
Jane’s just finished a summer tour and will wrap the year playing Kimmel: are there any plans to record or tour for 2014?

Well, next year I’m going to be working very hard on a project called “Kind Heaven.” You’ll see a lot more about it… I could put it together in six to eight months if I had money in my pocket. I don’t have the money in my pocket, so we’ll see where I go from here. There’s no website -- it’s way too early -- but “Kind Heaven,” remember: “Kind Heaven.”

He's actually lost a lot of weight...

I'm wondering if the Porno tracks are ever coming? Seems like it's been a while since that was recorded. I just don't see anything he says coming to fruition. Very few things have. :eyes:

TGEA tour was billed as Immersive Theater too! Perry, just stick to four guys rocking on stage, and some hot chicks dancing. That's all anyone wants. So Perry will be DJing with Etty dancing behind him in some Vegas ballroom! After 2 nights no one will go. Make a Fuckin Jane's Record and just call it Kind Heaven.

I'd guess a good percentage of that weight is brain cells. The clips I saw during the recording of the last Black Sabbath album were pretty embarrassing. He's probably the laziest producer in the business.

i find it hilarious that he says "remember Kind Haven". With all the marketing tools in the 21st century and he's like 'please remember this, please'

Man... I wish I could share some stories here...

The truth is, he's pretty much paid for his ear and his opinion. :noclue:

Everything else... is just sorta amusing theater. The Rick Rubin experience, if you will.

"No one has ever done immersive theater with this kind of music before"

Says the guy who has now spent 3 bands trying to do immersive theater to a giant yawn from everyone.

Remember back around strays when perry discovered flash mobs and immediately jane's was all about flash mobs and the story of Satellite Party revolved around Perry and Etty being at a flash mob?

Or how he heard of viral videos and now every single shitty green screen low budget video with tits he does is an intentional attempt to be a "viral video"

This guy gets one idea in his head and uses it 700 times trying to make it happen. Which apparently is why Etty continues to be pitched to the world as a vocalist.

Hang it up Perry. You don't understand what is going on in the world because you're too busy drinking champagne and buying your backup dancer new purses to put in your Hollywood mansion. You'll never be hip or edgy or seen by anyone as "cool". You're just the old guy at the club getting eye rolls still the next DJ comes on and plays some skrillex.

Coming in 2015: PerryEttyHezron presents: Dubstep Deztiny (a Dubstep concert film starring Etty and Hezron Ferrell as the 2 greatest dubstep DJs who ever lived, opening for Kayne West's 2014 tour for 3 weeks in the Bible Belt of America). Showing for a limited time in an immersive flash mob theater setup in 6 major markets.

So, what will Dave, Perk, Chaney do during this time? I certainly hope it's not Panic Channel.

I really would have liked to see Pete get some love and P4P to bring back Perk's more overtly funky, tropical, polyrhythmic approach.

Maybe there can be a new combo consisting of Perk, Pete, Dave, Eric or Martyn. They could get a younger, more artsy vocalist to keep them from the path of stale cock rock. Preferably a female. Somebody like the lady from Celebration...

Yup.

Jane's should be fronted by Perry Berstein or nobody at all. That's all there is to it.

If Perry isn't interested in Nu-Jane's or P4P it would be nice if some of those musicians could take the opportunity to make something adventurous, unique, and of high artistic integrity.

At the very least I'd hope that Dave would somehow release those instrumental tracks that were on the TGEA production videos, keeping them instrumental.

I've only got one and it's second hand from a good friend who was in a punk(ish) band called The Black Halos at the time.

Apparently, Rubin had expressed some interest in at least meeting the band to possibly produce their next record back around 2002-ish. So after a long period of working out a get-together with Rubin's drones, a couple of the band members including my friend fly out here to LA to meet him on their own dime and they spent the day cruising out to the local desert and back talking/shouting about music, other bands and anything else but the band itself in (one of) Rubin's big ol' 50's classic car with the top down. And that was it. They went back home and never heard from Rubin or anyone connected with him again. It was more or less "WTF was that all about?"

Oh, and I saw Rubin up in the balcony at the final NIN show in '09 at The Wiltern.

It remains a mystery how Rubin who you'd think would be a natural fit for AC/DC, produced their arguably worst album since Brian Johnson joined the band.

Dave is probably going to stick with Ink Master and his radio show which is probably enough to pay the bills and keep him outta trouble for the short term. Stephan will do Hellride or whatever small stuff comes his way, Cheney will do session shit, hopefully grow his hair out. On the P4P front, Pete is probably doing this :banghead:

I have zero interest in whatever goofy shit Perry is going to embarrass himself with.
