I thought Perry's vocals actually sounded pretty cool in that performance. Someone made a comment about both his AND Taylor's teeth in the comments section of that page. I don't care if an over 50 ex-druggy got his teeth fixed and whitened...y'all are crazy.

No, there is a difference between a cleaning and braces, and going the easy route and sticking a giant neon mouthpiece over them to cover up the reality of the situation.

Normal people get braces and wait 2 years for perfection. Gwen Stefani went this route.

Hollywood people want immediate results and glue something fake over what is already there.

It's all about immediate results for the camera. It's fake. And they are fake.

On the other hand it's actually possible Perry has pretty fucked up teeth just as a side effect of drug use. Getting caps would actually be a heap cheaper than having to have multiple implants to fix bad teeth. Perry has done a lot of things for cosmetic reasons, but at his age, with his history and the fact he has always had 'bad teeth', he could actually have a real dental problem as well. It might not all be superficial. Who knows?

What has Perry done since '01 that wasn't completely superficial? Come on. Dude is 53 and just suddenly has a problem with his teeth? ALL OF THEM? at once? I'm thinking this is more of a result of his wife saying "we take a lot of picture and your teeth make me look bad"

Hahaha. Maybe. In fact I am sure that factored in to it. I just think he may have had other dental issues, like one or two molars that had to be removed. So he was looking at either: capping all his teeth or having a half dozen implants, and went for the superficial but way less painful option. I am not saying I would have done it, it's just I wouldn't factor out their being a legitimate reason adding to vanity ones. I guess the only way we really find out is if Perry visits ANR and gives us a more detailed dental history .

It hurts my brain that Perry's renditions of his own songs are comparable to that perfect travesty... and yet I still love the guy for what he did.
