I'm pretty sure this was posted on xiola.org but I ran across it recently and decided to post it here.

What a great run of shows in Hollywood that was for NIN.

what are the chances they come back and make another album? slim I guess, which is sad. The world of rock needs them now more than ever

I believe Trent has mentioned he'll return to NIN after the How To Destroy Angels album goes through it's cycle. Apparently it won't be anything like the Nine Inch Nails we know. Also no NIN touring.

Actually, I think the odds are pretty good there will be another Nine Inch Nails album in the next couple years. Any sort of tour or even just a few live dates is an entirely different proposition. Reznor stated at the end of the last tour that he wasn't ruling out any further NIN music, just that he didn't want to tour any more under that moniker.

Trent mentioned not long ago that he was already writing material for NIN in 2012.

The HTDA record will be out at the end of this year.

Assume late 2012/early 2013 is going to be dedicated to some light touring and promotion for that.

He'll get back to NIN in 2014. Unless he uses the word "soon", in which that means "i'm going to score some films, do a videogame, and then get back to NIN in a year or 2", in which case make it 2015.

That's not to say we won't see a new song or 2 leak out. He did that U2 cover not long ago. I could see him throwing out a single or a cover just because he feels like it.

No word yet. It's probably done. But with everything suspended due to the baby, I'm sure it's going to be awhile.

Yeah I would get on a new version of the Fragile that is one of my favorite albums and my favorite NIN album.

Trent Reznor has written the theme song for the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, as USA Today reports (via Consequence of Sound). The game is to be released November 13.

Reznor described the music to USA Today as "aggressively sounding" guitar rock that incorporates bass and drums. As USA Today notes, the game "envisions a new Cold War between the U.S. and China."
Of the music, Reznor said, "There is a lot of reservations and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn't make sense to have a gung ho patriotic kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty."

This follows his soundtracks for The Social Network and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Reznor noted that his side project, How to Destroy Angels, have completed an album that will be out soon. He said, "We are doing a different type of distribution this time so it's taking a little bit longer to coordinate stuff. There's a lot of music about to be unleashed, videos, etcetera." He's also working on new Nine Inch Nails music.

Ha. See. Told ya.

He's mentioned all of this on his twitter recently. Q has too.

Not the videogame thing though. That was just speculation on my part. haha
