A new porno album would be better than janes

Janes has such expectations associated with it, nothing will ever live up to ritual and nothing's shocking.

A new porno album would have comparably zero pressure to live to up anything. no one is going to ask them to play at a product launch or associate them with a new credit card so they don't really run the risk of tarnishing their reputations for some cash. What I'm getting at is, porno might just have such little interference that they could actually make something good.

I think the motives might be a little more pure.

This isn't news, but fuck... Not like the band are giving anyone anything worth talking about.

I think a new James album of overproduced bullshit would do more harm than good.

I think porno would be better suited for an aging Perry. It would fit the more mellow stoner vibe which is what Perry should be shooting for. Keep it real all the way and that fits him these days. He's not a punk rocker anymore. I love Dave Navarro, he and Pete could collaborate on a new porno album and that would be cool.

yeah but even though dave did some porno stuff towards the end going into relapse, it wasn't his deal and martyn has said he won't do it so it's not gonna be porno...why not just do something fresh instead of dragging dismembered corpses around for pay checks?

I agree with Matz. Though i am not the biggest PFP fan, i love some of their songs.

But i would rather have a new JA one, after a longer hiatus i listened to TGEA again and i still really like it. But whatever... it will take a million years for another one so why bother now

I'd love to hear some more Surf rock songs from Pete and Perry. But nothing beats a Janes show. The 2012 shows are great and Perry is on fire this tour. Hard to ask for much more than they're giving us.

i would want a p4p album just out of curiosity. i don't give a shit about tarnishing any legacies. martyn is in kind of a different place now being part of a hollywood family with a new kid. he really doesn't need to put up with perrry's ego at this point of his life. we all know pete would do it though. he is currently waiting bu the phone for the call.

I really enjoyed both PFP cd's. I really liked that they both had very different vibes to them. I could be them putting together a follow up to GGU. A think they could pull off another mellow cd, but my concern would be Perry's lyrics. I'd be more interested in seeing a new PFP then JA.

I've always contended that Perry should have rode off in to the sunset of his career playing trippy acoustic surf stuff with Pete ala GGU.

But the GGU vibe had a lot to do with being trippy. That's not Perry anymore.
