that music clip dont sound ground breaking or cool or anything like that, so maybe he concluded they suck and jumped ship. Of course that band name aint helping either :noclue:

What a pisser!! if Theodore and Avery are out. I'm out. I was so excited about this man.. and yeah clip sounds kinda shitty.

Well, that was like a 3 second clip of a bass line and a direct guitar, not a good sample. I like most of the stuff Brent from Mastodon does.

Jon is busy with QOTSA and it makes sense that Thomas Pridgen would get the nod to do the tracking for the parts. EA being out is not a surprise though he's going that Izzy Stradlin route when it comes to bands and making new music.

EA's not pretentious, he seems to just care too much to the point of over-thinking things. That's why Perry was a good match musically. I loved that one song "Animals"/Sun's Gone or whatever when he played it simply and acoustically, but on the album it felt way overdone. In fact, that was what bothered me about that whole album ("Help Wanted"). I like it a lot, but it's hard to listen to because you can feel the anxiety about getting things to sound a certain way that just wasn't happening.
