Maybe they brought in some members of STOMP for a brand new percussion-heavy song.

They are all in good spirits apparently. Dave just knocked out 3 hilarious tweets in succession.

Tonight's show should be sick! Chaney is all hopped up on ginkgo biloba! Heard him cry "banzai" before he put the dropper under his tongue

davenavarro6767 Dave Navarro
THEN a kombucha chaser! Wow! Chaney is going off!

Now he is saying he is gonna try to score some Valerian just to come down later... Better be careful, that's how Houdini died.
Perry loves Chaney so much that he lets him get hopped up on natural energy boosters before shows.

LA Medley? That's hardly a song.

If that's what they call mixing up the setlist? That's hardly giving the fans anything. And why do they keep on playing Jane Says?

cause it's one of their biggest songs ever and a good closer? and la medley is def throwing the crowd a bone imho...i mean they aren't gonna mix up the setlists much if you haven't figured that out by now i don't know what to tell ya...casey songs are out and they aren't gonna play much of the obscure because they are trying for new fans...

A singalong closer. Jippie.

Why don't they sing kumbaya?

Why play the same cover(s) they played 20 years ago? Can't they even think of a new medley or something?

Oh well ...

I hope everybody had a good time

Something new perhaps?

Or any of the old songs they haven't played in a long time.

LA medley was never one of my favourites, maybe that's why .... Never liked Bobhaus either

you can't really fault the set list imho even by your standards 2 new songs, 1 off strays and a song not played in 20 years...

oh ok so they aren't setting up setlists for people who might follow them on tour...got it

they don't wanna play much of the obscure because it won't grab new fans plus they don't have a touring violin player....and they don't wanna play casey songs because of etty...nothing is gonna chnage except maybe one song...or maybe people want more strays? there comes a time to cope with it all and that time was long ago

To each their own, but you don't like LA Medley or Bobhaus? I absolutely love both but particularly LA Medley... i'd be going mental if they dropped that in during a show i was at. Set-list looks fine to me and they'll presumably add Chip Away in tonight.

Yep, guilty. Obviously that photo could have been just anything but Chip would be a great ending for tonight's show... every man on a drum and Perry screaming... good old school finish to an old school influenced live show (in terms of venue at least).

Can't believe it's taken them this long to realise that they can go for a new audience and keep the diehards happy... it's not that damn hard.

I gotta admit just adding LA medley doesn't make me all upset I didn't get a Irving Plaza ticket :tiphat:
That is one weak set list IMO

little bit of side info for what it's worth. Support band last night was an LA duo called IO Echo. Name stood out to me because they used to tour with a UK band called The Big Pink that i quite like... when i say tour, they actually played as part of the Big Pink with the guy on bass and the girl singing additional vocals. Anyway, The Big Pink's debut record was produced by Rich Costey, so i guess he might have hooked it all up. I like the production of said record as it's very noisy and atmospheric... if some of that vibe is on the Jane's record, i'll be happy.

Bit of a ramble there, and not majorly relevant, but there you go!

So basically it's the same set between a two show stand with the 4th song being "Ted" the first night and "Then She Did" the second night and the 10th song being the wild card song (Idiots Rule, Up The Beach, LA Medley so far). Tonight (if it isn't postponed due to the rain) will probably be Chip Away as the 10th song.
