That's pretty great.
This tour has had some good moments.

i didn't bother listening but when you posted that i thought no way he said that. well i watched it and he did.cricket_bows wrote: "my voice has gotten better"
it would be refreshing if he said "my voice isn't what it was but i try to do the best with what i have".
he is really delusional.

Idiots from last week. Was just wondering, is there audio/video from the one time they played it with Eric in 09?

Chip Away complete with Dave's suspension gal pals from last night. I'm kinda confused whether this is an interesting vocal variation Perry's taking on the song (making it sound almost like an Arabian chant in the break) of if he's just lazily pissing on the song. BTW, some guy's comment "I like boobs" at the 33 second mark and the laughably bad singing another guy does at the 50 second mark make this video.
Re: Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour
Wow those vids of Classic Girl, Idiots, and Chip were all really good actually. Cool that they played Idiots, and that rendition of Chip was really nice, but I hope they return Classic Girl to the setlist now. That 2012 version sounded great to me.
Dude singing in Chip was funny as fuck; true.

Slow and downtuned, but not bad, considering. Better than some of the NIN/JA performances. Strong second solo and cool Iggy story from PF.

That was terrific! Really emotionally powerful. He was connecting to the original feeling, for sure.elbuitre wrote:This is great rendition of Classic Girl from 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf6pKwumAQw
Perry sounds so into it.

C'mon Creep. That's 3 straight days. Any touring band would be too tired and burnt to mix it up.

Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam or The Cure normally play more songs in a single night than Janes does in 3 days.blackula wrote:C'mon Creep. That's 3 straight days. Any touring band would be too tired and burnt to mix it up.

Pearl Jam is a real band who cares about what they do.Pandemonium wrote:Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam or The Cure normally play more songs in a single night than Janes does in 3 days.blackula wrote:C'mon Creep. That's 3 straight days. Any touring band would be too tired and burnt to mix it up.
Jane's is a paycheck band. Same as Motley Crue or White Lion or those other 80s bands who still do it to make their house payment.

I love Pearl Jam, but having heard "Mind Your Manners" i'm starting to fear the worst. The last two albums have been a not so steady decline.Six7Six7 wrote:Pearl Jam is a real band who cares about what they do.Pandemonium wrote:Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam or The Cure normally play more songs in a single night than Janes does in 3 days.blackula wrote:C'mon Creep. Rancid didn't even have a set list tonight and Tim Timebomb played 4 Op Ivy songs they were not planning on playing tonight as well..

The busker down the street from my apartment plays a better version of "City" than Jane's ever could these days.
Re: Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour
that's funny. i was dragged, kicking and screaming, to furthur at barclays a few months back. some tripping deadhead behind us exclaimed 'that was the best jack straw i've ever heard'. my pal eric and i agreed that it wasn't even the best one we'd heard that night - some freak with a guitar on flatbush avenue before the show had played it better.NYRexall wrote:The busker down the street from my apartment plays a better version of "City" than Jane's ever could these days.

Re: Rockstar Energy Uproar Tour
perry's update on facebook made me laugh:
Like a 45 minute show is different from an 1:10 show by much?I feel bad. The festival ran into heavy hail/ rain yesterday. With no awening, hail stones fell- the size of 8 balls. To take up time we waited inside a rodeo arena nearby playing baseball and skateboarding. At the last minute- it quit, and they said the show was back on. I lit up - but we were only given a 45 minute set because of curfew. There were faces in the crowd that wanted to rock out so hard- but we were pulled off the stage at 45 mins. I couldn't even look back at the kids who were up front because I know that look of disapointment in a kids face. It kills me. So let's try and play Idaho again in the future? Hidiho!
