Are people still holding out hope for a new P4P album? It doesn't make sense.

There's no money in that venture, and Perry has to know this. People won't buy tickets to see Jane's anymore, let alone their latest album. What makes you think there's interest in a new P4P album/tour?

Okay, so there's new music being made, but why do you/they think there's interest in another P4P album/tour?

I went back through this thread and here's some of the enthusiasm I found:

Really trying to keep my expectations low.

My last live porno experiance was pets and Tahitian moon with nuno's replacement in satellite party. I'd like to replace that with something more in line with my 90's memories cuz that shit was aweful.

no hopes that this will be something good.

I'm looking forward to The P4P equivalent of Strays later this year.

i doubt this is going to be an album.

You'd think these guys would be a bit more forthcoming w/ info considering 99% of people couldn't care less and whatever it is won't sell more than a few copies.

Don't get your hopes up high. Although most of you around here think the other Porno-members were capable of getting some magic out of Perry, I'm of a different opinion. An ok band, but nothing magical.

I can't see a PFP record happening, no matter how much Perry talks about it. It wouldn't be a big enough draw, commercially.

This is what we're left with so I'm being open to the fact that it might not suck.

Pete's guitar will be fun/good, and Perk is always competent, if not always interesting... so it's really not about whether the sounds made by the musicians will be any good, but whether the songwriting/lyrics/vocals will be passable enough not to make the entire experience excruciating (cf. Strays).

The original sound of pfp was built around Perrys sharp voice and lyrics that cut right through like a razor, I want that skeletal sound back where Perrys voice leads the way.
