If we've learned one thing from Strays, it's that when they go back to the sudio to "tweak" things.... it gets worse.. not better.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I've got this feeling... I'm going to be let down!

It's scary. Best case scenario, some of the delays were related to:

Co-producer Sitek dealing with the death of a bandmate, promoting an album and touring
Chaney re-doing some bass parts
Getting artwork that doesn't suck
Deciding to include some of the weirder, longer, and more challenging songs at the last minute
Battling record execs to make a more artistic album

Most likely they're running focus groups at area malls. :lolol: :lostit:

I have no idea if Nothing's Shocking or Ritual were delayed. But Good Gods Urge was...though they had a good excuse: lots of crack smoking.

Strays was delayed because they "overcooked" it.

Just seems odd that this isn't one big long delay...it's numerous small delays...like they are tweaking the album over and over again until it sucks.
perry tweeted that they are waiting on him to finish the artwork that he plans to do on this break. i'm sure the album is done?? :noclue:

Wait, so the artistic direction of this album relies solely on Perry, who has just now set aside some time to be artistic?

This is going to suck. It's going to be rushed and half-assed.

My guess is Capitol Records rejected the Fusilli Perry album cover that his kids put together one evening on the kitchen table during the Summer break.

Not at all. I think this would be an awesome cover. And, joke or not, it's more aesthetically pleasing than the Satellite Party "art."

I'm starting to think the censored shirt or RdlH was actually a very accurate depiction of Mr. Bernstein...

So are there any ideas on why the delay? It concerns me that they might be over producing this, making it a little to clean & polished.

i still just really don't understand how Perry is the one who puts the least effort into this band and the art isn't done.

Every single damn day, Dave's tweets were "going to the studio" or he'd post a video of him in the studio.

What was Perry doing while the other 4 guys were writing music together?
