Listening to Curiosity Kills, the words "curiosity kills" just don't seem to fit, if that makes sense. It just doesn't sound right. I like the rest of the song melodically though.

cant get this on NZ itunes either - anyone recording?
Re: "Something pretty exciting" on Jane's Facebook page
far more interesting than Strays. Curiosity Kills may be forgettable one day, or a grower. I like it, but it deserves a few listens. I like the vibe a lot.
Re: "Something pretty exciting" on Jane's Facebook page
ETTL is the video version. Vocals slightly higher, but not in an annoying way.
Curiosity Kills is very U2. Bigtime. But i don't hate it. It's not like U2 is doing anything interesting with their sound anymore.

Curiosity Kills' chorus sounds like an outtake of The Unforgettable Fire re-recorded in 2011.
Re: "Something pretty exciting" on Jane's Facebook page
musicly it just screams dave did most of the work
Re: "Something pretty exciting" on Jane's Facebook page
Eric Avery's bass tone is all over this record. Thanks Sitek!
Also, Dave is really doing some great stuff on this record. Something about his playing is very mature. VERY mature. I haven't heard music like this from him since Spread and Decon.

Just move the slider at the top of the iTunes window and you can skip forward or backwards.perkana wrote:any way I can fastforward some stuff? guess not, I already tried and had to listen again end to the lies

IF sounds sooooo much better in context with the rest of the record. Shit, my stream just froze! Now I have to start over and be way behind you guys.

I would like to take a moment to publicly remove my foot from my mouth.
This album is excellent. I dig it alot.

Twisted Tales sounds like something JA might have done between 1997-2001.
Six7Six7 I agree, even if I don't end up loving this as much as their other stuff. They did not embarrass themselves on this album, at the very least they made a good album. On Ultimate Reason now.

Underground is FANTASTIC! Better then ANYTHING on Strays.
Re: "Something pretty exciting" on Jane's Facebook page
Not a fan of Twisted Tales. Maybe it's going to be a grower for me.
