Wow - I never gave it any thought but I've also never seen Cocktail, Point Break or Days Of Thunder....
You were not a chick in the late 80's early 90's, I saw all of them. I'm not that much into Tom Cruise these days
Did you see the Lost Boys? I have to say I did watch it not only for the guys, who am I kidding, I did, but it still scared me back then
I have seen Lost Boys a few times. Of the few 1980's vampire movies I've seen that are "modern takes" on the subject, Near Dark is my favorite.
Haven't seen that one...

This clip is a bit of a spoiler as it's one of the best parts of the movie but.........

Yeah, Paxton's great in it and you also have Lance Henriksen and the actress (I don't recall her name) who played "Vasquez" who all moved on together to star in "Aliens."

Pretty sure i've said my piece on this before, but Point Break is movie perfection! It's easy in my top 3 movies. They released the official score 3-4 years back and i listen to it tons... composer is a guy called Mark Isham. I can listen to the individual tracks and totally pinpoint them to the scene in the film! So yeah, i'm a total geek for Point Break.

Another decent one that I introduced my kids to last year (and is ripe for a remake) is Flight of the Navigator - so under-rated that it's borderline obscene!

Back on topic, Interview with the Vampire is one of Tom's best... up there with Risky Business.

My favorite recent Tom Cruise movie has definitely got to be Tropic Thunder.

Lost Boys and Point Break remain two of the greatest movies ever made IMO. Flawed? Yes. Especially Point Break. But I could watch either movie a thousand times over.

Without question, Point Break is the movie that I have watched more than any other... i would hazard a guess that i've watched it almost 5 times as much as whatever movie would be second. Flawed is correct, but I couldn't give a Johnny Utah!

Every time you watch it, does Anthony Kiedis' acting get worse?

 You fucking know it mate... it's shocking! The showers on the beach scene is pretty cringeworthy full stop but it's all forgiven in the long run.

"that would be.....a waste of time!"

I think Anthony is great in it. The scene where he gets shot in the foot his acting is great

Now?!? I think he's been batshit crazy since he busted open his melon in that near-fatal motorcycle accident in the late 80's.

I don't think he's crazy in the sense that you could slap a diagnosis on him but he's definitely highly excentric
