My favorite band right now. I'm making a topic on them soon.

So fucking rad.

The vast majority of electronic/synth music I listen to is ambient stuff, like Brian Eno's older music. Moby's probably the only artist I really got into that would fall into this catagory. He had a string of albums (Everything Is Wrong to 18 or maybe Hotel) through the early '00's that were excellent, imo and then he seriously ran outta gas the last few albums which are really lousy affairs. But EIW and Play are just untouchable.

I like this album by Dirty Vegas as well:

I totally forgot about Dirty Vegas... :thumb:

I saw Moby on the side stage at Lolla. I think it was '92.

I had read there was some buzz on him and decided to check him out. I liked him for a few years, but not into him lately. Don't even know if he's done anything recently.

He released a new album "Destroyed" last year and while I didn't pick it up, based on the clips I heard it sounds like he's doing Brian Eno/David Bowie-lite these days.

I saw him live twice. The first time was the tour for "Play" in 2000 (I think) at either the Greek or Hollywood Bowl and while it was on the surface a pretty impressive concert, I was dismayed that it appeared just about everyone in his band wasn't actually playing (or singing) live most of the set. I saw him again in '05 at The Wiltern for the "Hotel" tour which was a bit better, being in the pit n' all (and the Wiltern is a far better place to see a show) but I haven't had the desire to see him again.
