Coachella 2012

#1 Post by Pandemonium » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:13 pm

Ugh. Weakest lineup ever. Headliners include The Black Keys on Friday, April 13th and 20th; Radiohead on Saturday, April 14th and 21st; and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Sunday April 15th and 22nd. Interesting how they're splitting up the same daily line-ups over two consecutive weekends. Other than Radiohead and maybe Watt's band Firehose, there's not a single other band I'd have any desire to see, especially at some dirty, hot desert festival.

Who else is left to reunite? They are seriously running out of ideas.

I'd want to see all of these:

Black Keys
Refused
Mazzy Star
M83
Datsik
Neon Indian
The Black Angels
The Shins
Noel gallagher
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Kasabian
Kaiser Chiefs
Grouplove
Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg
At The Drive-In
Justice
Florence and the Machine
DJ Shadow
Santigold
Fitz and the Tantrums
Le Butcherettes
Lissie

Plus I would probably do some more research and find a few more i'd want to check out prior to getting there.

I hope Lolla looks like this somewhat. (Although Lolla places alot more emphasis on newer bands and less on reuniting dinosaurs, which i like. )

"According to Billboard.com, the reunited original lineup of BLACK SABBATH was one of the planned headliners for this year's Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival, but was forced to pull out just before yesterday's official lineup announcement due to guitarist Tony Iommi's recent lymphoma diagnosis."

ATDI
Jeff Mangum(Neutral Milk Hotel)
Firehose
Godspeed
Radiohead
Refused
Buzzcocks
Mazzy Star

If they were all playing the same night I'd consider traveling to CA.

That Brochella lineup is pretty funny
