Fucking ignorant one...I really hope that bloody sacrifice works. I should have learned my lesson, never get too attached to a character

Well, guess I won't be bending the knee to Stannis anymore. I wanted to puke for the remainder of the episode.

The episode already aired. If you hadn't seen the episode, why would you click on the thread where we discuss the episodes?

Dude, who cares about the kid? Dragons!

I kinda feel like I put up with this show patiently waiting to see dragons kick some ass. It's been like that since way back in the episode where they hatched. "Waiting For the Dragons" would be what I'd title the series. Happy to see a bit of that in this episode. I hope the series finale is just an hour of dragons and zombies fighting each other.

Mostly it was just, oh what a great episode, or this episode was kinda slow, or whatever nothing you guys always said.

But Ok, won't come to this thread again

Call me crazy, but it seems like this complex issue could be solved by entering the thread where we discuss the latest episode AFTER you've seen the latest episode. I know it sounds nuts, but just give it a try. It's so crazy it just might work.

this is great, something happened that wasn't in the books and one of the book people is complaining about spoilers.

The best I can come up with is that Stannis believes that he is specially chosen, and if he doesn't become the one king and defeat the forces of darkness, everyone will die. I think that's what Melisandre's been telling him all along, and I think she basically said that he has to follow this stupid ass attack plan exactly like she says (instead of turning back) or else he's guaranteed to fail. So he sees his sacrifice as a sacrifice to save mankind.

I'm not trying to make excuses for him, it's just that characters need motivations, and for this his motivation has to be more than "I really want to be king."

Anyway, it was a bit much.

So he's still Stannis the Mannis to you...They've killed so many kids, women, men. But yeah, as far as I remember, Shireen was still alive in the books. Oh yeah, Hodor dies too (no seriously, I don't think he has, I actually read the last book last year).

So far I haven't minded the rape, and murder, and incest.... but Sunday's episode was a bit much. They didn't have to stick with the screaming for quite as long as they did. :scared:

Thanks! I will probably read it.
I've been waiting to see Franken-Mountain for so long! If there will be no Lady Stoneheart (zombie Catelyn Stark), I'll be satisfied with that.

Ha, reading this thread before watching the episode, I thought Stannis was gonna die.

But he only killed his daughter.

So The lord of light still might be right after all

Writing things in tiny letters does not magically prevent them from being spoilers.
