the finale was ok. maybe i expected more to happen but if more happened that usually means more people die. the only death that sucks is the hound.....if he is really dead.

for you nerds....what did arya give the ship captain. what was that? i don't remember.

The coin that gave her the guy who killed the first guys on her list. I forgot his name. He was from Braavos. Just checked, he's Jaqen H'gar.

The skeleton sword fight felt a little strange after everything that happened before it...like it was from some entirely different (and much more silly) show or movie. I guess it was done about as well as you can do something like that. The Children of the Forest looked a bit more human than I expected...

The only death that sucks isn't the Hound. The death of Tywin Lannister sucks as well. It's not like he didn't deserve it, but he's one of the best actors and characters.

It was great to see Stannis ride in. Bend the fucking knee to Stannis, you scum.

Got to say that Season 4 has been a bit of a let down.

The series creators really messed up some key scenes imo (Lysa going out the moon door and Tyrions final scene)

I enjoyed it...I didn't like the dragons getting shut down in the catacombs, but it's for everyone's safety. Those cries... :nyrexall:
I agree, both of Tyrion's murders weren't what I expected. It was better in the book. But that look he gets on his way to Tywin's chambers was very scary.
Jojen's dead was kinda cartoonish, but I won't deny I felt relieved. He was just moody all the time and he only had one purpose.

There was a conversation between Jaime and Tyrion in the books (when Jaime frees him) that sets the whole scene up perfectly, where was that conversation? You make your audience sit through pointless Half-wit killing beetles dialogue before the Viper vs. Mountain, but you're going to leave out Tyrions whole motive for seeking out his father before he escapes? :noclue:

Yup, I was wondering...has Tysha ever come up in the series? that would be the only excuse for them making it this way. Ok, just checked the wiki, she was mentioned in season 1. I agree, that conversation was essential to understand why he wanted to kill his dad. It just seemed that he only did it because he never loved him. Tyrion is a stronger character.

I'm just mad he got killed on the toilet...

Overall I was ok with the finale...didn't expect the Hound Brienne throwdown to be so rough...glad my dude slipped away into the night...never been happier to see Stannis pop up; I thought Jon was about to get it...as I'm on book 2 I gotta say, my standards for judging a book vs a TV show or movie are different...there are so many ways they could have fucked ALL of this up the fact that the show has been so well done overall is awesome. They're bound to mess up or mess with the source material a lot...I definitely feel the books more, but I can only imagine what goes into putting a show of this scale together and how they decide what bits to keep and play with how challenging that must be. Not a bad season at all...the skeleton thing was slightly cheesy compared to last week, but they did enough to make me wanna get right back into it for season 5...

This made me laugh a bit...

Much like Perry Farrell, Tyrion loves them whores... :hehe:
To add...the most shocking thing about last night was Cersei telling Tywin about her and Jaime... :yikes:

I agree totally, that's why I've stopped comparing them.

Apparently some fans got mad at her for posting this on her instagram account...

That's why she's wearing the 'I'm not sorry' shirt. She could be Keira Knightley's older sister, or is it just me?

I'm glad that nobody will know what's going to happen after season 5
Show runners Dan Weiss and David Benioff confirmed over the weekend that their show would be ending in the same place as the book series, and sooner than the books as well.

Speaking to the Oxford Union, Benioff addressed the TV series outpacing the books:

Luckily, we’ve been talking about this with George for a long time, ever since we saw this could happen, and we know where things are heading. And so we’ll eventually, basically, meet up at pretty much the same place where George is going; there might be a few deviations along the route, but we’re heading towards the same destination. I kind of wish that there were some things we didn’t have to spoil, but we’re kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The show must go on. . .and that’s what we’re going to do.

It makes the world safer for show watchers in terms of spoiler avoidance, but I do have some sympathy for book readers (aside from the ones who get their jollies spoiling things for show watchers).

It's a very odd situation of literature vs. television, and you've got to wonder how they ended up starting the series when they did, when some simple math would have told them that GRRM was unlikely to complete the books on time.

I was getting fed up with snobby watchers and readers: people who are annoying by saying they don't want to know anything about it or the readers who complain about characters or stories not being exactly the same as in the books. Get the fuck over yourselves. I don't care reading the books in 2 or 3 years. At least the show will be entertaining. It's going to be interesting to see and read both versions.
