The disease [greyscale]—a highly contagious one—not only toughens and greys the skin, but can spread inward to harden the victims’ insides.Viewers don’t need to know every specific of the book version of this disease—there are fatal and non-fatal kinds, it can go slow or quick—but they do need to understand the stigma associated with it. The closest real-world equivalent is leprosy and the environment of fear and ignorance around how greyscale works is why poor Shireen is treated like an outcast by her own mother.

Totally unnecessary. I don't know why they did that.

I think her mother's got more problems than just that.

I was enjoying this episode until it ended. Now it's one of my least favorites (my least favorite would be when Ned is beheaded).

tonight's episode was my favorite of the season so far. the previews for the next episode look to be jon snow heavy which (for me) is disappointing. winter has been coming for four years now. :conf:

It was slow, the only story I didn't like was Dorne's. I'm still disappointed in those Sand Snakes. Shitty accent and dialogue.

Read that when Sophie Turner knew what was going to happen, she actually loved the whole thing, even more with Theon watching. I agree that this thing is all fucked up, but I couldn't expect anything else to happen to a Stark. Still, it was hard for me watching that the first time, second time not so much.

If anyone deserves it, it's Sansa.

Her shitty decisions have continuously fucked her family.

Well, she was like 13 when she wanted to stay in King's Landing, but she tried to save her dad. And the other stuff was out of her hands (getting married to Tyrion, Joffrey's dead, etc. etc.)

I can't agree. I thought the Dorne stuff was silly, and the Sand Snakes are more ridiculous one-dimensional (and now inescapable) "badass" women tropes. Tiny little waifs with no muscle tone. Sorry, but give me Brienne if you want me to make this type of thing even slightly realistic. At least give them Bruce Lee style muscle tone or something.

I guess the rest of it was pretty decent, although I did not like the closing scene. I can't comment on the preview because I didn't watch it.

You've got issues. If you only want to come around to tell us how much you approve of characters being raped, maybe you shouldn't bother.

I can't believe Jasper and I have the same opinion about the Sand Snakes (and the whole episode) :yikes:
I really hope next episode is going to be good if you remember Stannis' plans. And with Margaery going to trial...

I'm ONLY going to show up when someone is raped from now on. Just because you said that.

I forgot to say that I really liked the Faceless Men's collection of faces. That room was really cool, and the faces were creepy.

I'm such a fan of the High Sparrow. He scares the shit out of me because of his fanatism, but at the same time I really like him (it helps that it's played by Jonathan Pryce). I thought the scene with Bronn and the Sand Snakes could have been left out. Guess nudity has been missed and I'm just fucking glad Bronn wasn't killed off the show. I liked this episode better, after last week's (I could have done without the flayed old lady, but it's GoT, right?).

Hey, what about Gilly and Sam? The jail scene was fun for a change. Wouldn't call it the best. I liked Jorah's better.

I liked it. Funny how quickly I went from wanting Cersei to get what's coming to her, to waning to see her kick some ass. Fucking religious fanaticism. (religion poisons everything.) How many more episodes? It's always the penultimate episode where shit goes down.
