Just watched the latest episode. Nice.

Can't wait for Andrea to get the shock of her life soon.

How do I break it to my wife that I'm in love with this samurai sword wielding bad-ass?

I don't know the comic books (graphic novels, sorry), but I do love the show. I'm wondering how many more seasons they can sustain? I imagine the governor story will wrap with Season 3, and I can imagine a Season 4 that concludes with them finding a) a cure or b) an eden of sorts among the dead

"Want a smoke?"

"No thanks. I smoke menthol."

"...douchebag."

yeah, real men smoke menthols.

I'm enjoying the season so far, but man is it a slow burner.

someone has to tell me what's going on in the finale.

i can't wait until it gets posted on one of those streaming sites. i'll watch it later but i still want to know now.

after some marathon watching of all the seasons i have to say that i can't stand it when i hear people shuffling their feet. if i hear shuffling behind me i have to turn around to make sure it's not a biter.

If you have a think on the possible turns the show can take, then you'll probably figure it out before you see the season finale. It has all the markings--the acceptable sadness of loss tempered by an act of hope and kindness.

I thought that these three things in the last episode sucked balls. In white text under this line:
1) Andrea dying.
2) the Govenor story not being finalized. He's out there, but has he high tailed it or will he come back?
3) that lame "Rick staring off into the distance" thing at the very end.

Rick was looking up and not seeing Lori, presumably because his act of kindness had some kind of positive effect on his mental state.

The Governor is obviously coming back in the future (barring contract disputes).

This show improved this season, but that was easy after season 2. The sad thing is that the pilot was actually pretty great, and while the rest of the first season couldn't compare to the pilot, it was still better than anything since. It's just dumb entertainment, but the pilot made it seem like it might be some real cinematic goodness. Now it's not even scary, let alone cinematic. :noclue:

BTW, why is this a new thread? It should be merged onto the original thread:

not enough people died this season imho...first year anyone could die any episode...now the people you think they are gonna kill off are the ones who get killed off...thing i love is these split seasons...instead of waiting for fucking ever now it's not so bad

I've always loved a good zombie film. TO have a weekly recurring post apocalyptic show about zombies is like heaven for me. It has its moments, but largely repeats the same tropes episode after episode, but I still dig it. And as I've said before Michone is the most bad ass beautiful zombie killer to ever walk this earth.

Season finale was ho-hum. I was hoping for a conclusion to the governor story-line, and a hint of something more. Much like we saw the prison in the background at the close of season 2.

Not bad.

I like that this and American Horror Story begin in October, though the new American Horror Story is looking a little too much like True Blood.

I wonder if TWD will ever address the fact that in the event of a zombie apocalypse there would be widespread meltdowns of nuclear power plants essentially rendering the civilized world uninhabitable. I'm guessing no. There's also the fact that all of the gasoline would have gone bad by this point of the show.

not a bad ep, good zombies and zombie offings, liked the helicopter falling thru the roof.... shame they didn't salvage more gear outta that supermarket but i guess they can go back later?

Not sure what the deal was with the crazy woods woman.. That was meant to be a zombie baby under wraps that Rick missed i take it?

Cool ending though...

i didn't care for the chopper falling through the roof...all those zombies had been walking on that roof for a long ass time and then when live people are there they all fall through...dumb

I'm really enjoying the new season.
Definitely a darker tone.
I'm surprised that Rick gave her the boot on the last episode. She's one of the character's who has really evolved from helpless and meek to strong and outspoken...and a little pyscho.

Have you guys heard about the spin-off coming in 2015? It's going to be the very early days of the zombie outbreak, in an entirely different location, with more humans and civilization still remaining.

Seems pretty dangerous, since the show has been really thin ever since they dropped the ball on the promise of the first season. I guess the potential to make an absolute shitload of money is soothing any worries about the success of this thing.

We just watched the latest two episodes back to back. We really enjoyed last week's ep, but thought that this week's was pretty lame overall. I hate the Govenor. Not in a love to hate way, just think he's written poorly.

I've tried getting into this show, but just can't. I just like Daryl. And just for his looks.
