I like the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs song.

I liked Spitting much better. Karen O is such a treasure either way.

She sure is! Both songs are really good, but I prefer Burning.

I've tried really hard, with that band.... I feel like I am missing something, like I am hearing something else. Much like the era, that they came out of, I still don't get it... not bad, but no needles moving. :noclue:

Have you sat down with Fever to Tell and given it a chance? It's a fantastic album, and their lives shows from that era were incredible.

As the saying goes, different stroke for different folks. There are same bands I feel the same way. I don't get how they are so popular. :noclue:

Agree with the Hoka, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs live shows are great!

I noticed you guys taking about Yeah Yeah Yeah's. They headline riot fest tomorrow night to close the show. I was into them too. I remember for their second album they had a contest where fans could design the cover, which sounded lazy but it came out cool.

Those 2 songs Alice in Chains put on that Last Action Hero soundtrack was some of their finest work

I seem to have fallen back in love with the Arctic Monkeys. New single "There Better Be a Mirrorball" is hauntingly good.

The Mars Volta are back!

The new album is a little mellow; but their live shows are still fucking amazing...

I’ve been listening to a ton of Alice In Chains lately?..Kinda weird cuz for a very long time it reminded me of a really horrible time. Really bad addiction and my Mothers Alzheimer’s. Just a miserable period of my life :jasper: Kinda ruined them for a long time!!
But it feels ok now to go back and enjoy it now? Picked up the new Dirt vinyl release but haven’t really checked it out yet?. Hoping it sounds awesome!! 😃..Just streaming them a lot lately?.. I haven’t really been listening to as much heavy rock these days? Lotza old Jazz and really good classical music?.. But really digging Alice In Chains lately for some weird reason? 😜

The Cult, my all-time fav band (with Jane's Addiction), just released a new album. It's less rocker and I think John Tempesta didn't record this time... but I'm liking it anyways.

The Cult is playing in the City in November and I’m really having a hard time deciding whether I’d rather see Jane’s/Pumpkins or The Cult?.. Ian is singing really amazing right now and into it!! ..Not sure my pocket can afford both shows since my sweethearts off work with health issues? ..Sweet talking to my Visa card..😂

Go to both! You won't regret it. Then you can eat rice the rest of the month

The new album is thankfully sonically different then the last 2-3 studio albums. Billy's guitar sound is more bathed in reverb and atmosphere then ever before. Although it's kind of a one gear mid-tempo affair, the first 4 or so songs are pretty strong. It's the last few that I don't care for - too much strings and piano(!). I don't know why Tempesta didn't record with the band, but I believe he's on the tour.
