Let me be the first to say I don't wanna hear any one of you people crying like bitches if they put out a crappy album...that being said I am really excited about this one and definitely hope they do put something out...

This is Mike Patton we're talking about here. Has he ever put out a "crappy" album? I get that not everything he's ever done has been for everyone, but I can't think of anything the man has ever been involved in that could be described as crappy. I'll maintain high expectations, and I expect FNM will deliver.

This better mean a proper freaking US tour to support it.

FNM are one of a small handful of bands I still need to see.

Peeping Tom was pretty shit, I have to say. Everything else he's done has at least some sort of creative value.

I don't think that everything Patton touches is gold but a out of all the returning late 80's/90's bands FNM have the best chance of making an album that will stand up to the previous 6.

The funny thing with Patton is even when something sucks to me I still appreciate that he did it.

 you think?

no way he is coming back.

jon hudson has been with them for like five years. i like him in the band. i'm also one of the few that likes "album of the year" so i have high hopes for whatever they do.

plus the pic on their new twitter account pretty much tells you who is still in the band.

I LOVED Peeping Tom's record.

Saw the band 3 times too. Absolutely excellent.

Creep pretty much summed up how I feel about Bungle...Fantomas as well...I did like Tomahawk and Peeping Tom and definitely am a fan of Patton...however if someone had told me in 1998 that Jane's Addiction or even Perry on his own would put out shitty records, I'd say what you just said to me regarding Patton...my expectations shall remain low til something leaks. And I agree a U.S. tour BETTER follow and it is on my bucket list to see em live...they played in Brooklyn and I missed it...

For all his integrity if Patton & company are smart they don't shy away from doing anything that could be considered commercial...I liked pretty much all of their albums...actually one of the ones people like the most Angel Dust is one of my least faves while I loved Album of the Year and King for a Day... :noclue:

Wow, I'm surprised at the support Peeping Tom got. I just never rated that project.

You have got to be kidding... Bungle was a big influence in the inclusion of the absurd in rock/funk music!

If we're going to do this, for me it's FNM > Mr. Bungle > Fantômas > Tomahawk > everything else > Peeping Tom

The first Bungle album is a little too goofy for me, it's closer to a Weird Al album than anything else. Disco Volonte was pretty good and I thought California was great.

pretty standard setlist for the show today but two new songs so they have to be working on an album you would think. zombie eaters is a good song to open with.

Zombie Eaters
From Out of Nowhere
Epic
Caffeine
Gentle Art of Making Enemies
Easy
Midlife Crisis
Everything’s Ruined
Cuckoo for Caca
King for a Day
Ashes to Ashes
New song

New song 2
We Care a Lot

not the best quality but here is one of the new songs. it sounds pretty good from what i can tell.

not liking the second new song. anytime roddy touches the microphone bad things happen. he just ruins it for me. mike is getting a little chunky.

I can't fathom not liking Fantomas. Like, what's going on in your brain? If you don't like avant-grade, experimental or metal, I suppose I can sort of get it. But live a little, c'mon. Maybe start with the horror/noir movie covers record, Director's Cut. It's brilliant.

And Mr. Bungle put out one of the only true classic records of the aughts (they got there early and left early), with California--a brilliant homage to spaghetti western, the Beach Boys and sundry with a little Arabian death jazz thrown in for good measure.

The shittiest thing Patton has ever been involved with probably Album of the Year.

Still fucking psyched for new FNM music, though.
