Re: Kings Of Leon
Hey, if I was in a popular rock band, I'd probably go for the pee bucket on my rider, too. Props, Kol's.

Re: Kings Of Leon
With many bands pushing their 60's these days, I wonder how they manage to do more than about 45 minutes on stage without practically pissing their pants in vain efforts to get to a porta-potty backstage. I remember seeing P.I.L. a couple years ago, and at one point Lyndon basically rushed a song to finish and claimed he had to take a break to take a piss before his "old man's prostrate burst." I figure someone like Ozzy or Keith Richards basically wear astronaut diapers and just fill 'er up through the show.MYXYLPLYX wrote:They couldn't be bothered to traverse the fifty yards from their dressing room to the restroom (also, not a private restroom I believe but one shared by other bands) or pay for their own porta pottie (which some folks are known to do).
I guess they are to be commended for the litter in bucket work around instead of just peeing on the floor?
Re: Kings Of Leon
Ozzy has a porta pottie on stage, hidden behind risers. Supposedly he started that whole water cannon spraying down the crowd shtick as a way to hide his frequent accidents on stage...Pandemonium wrote:With many bands pushing their 60's these days, I wonder how they manage to do more than about 45 minutes on stage without practically pissing their pants in vain efforts to get to a porta-potty backstage. The bucket trick is not entirely unknown in the industry, but it is usually for on stage emergencies as you mentioned, not for the backstage/dressing room use.
And really, the most egregious aspect of this incident was their leaving it behind for others to handle. That's what prompted the guy to post about it...

This could be the start of a bladder evacuation revolution. The common man has been repressed in his work place for too long.

Re: Kings Of Leon
God, I'd love to just whip it out and piss at work at my desk. Revolution! We shall overcome! Bring me a bucket with an inch or so of kitty litter and let me claim my rightful place as a man!

I think it wouldn't be the same for us women, though I remember there was one time when I was 6 that I left my mark in a very crowded London street

Re: Kings Of Leon
When I was about 5 in the mid '60's, we took a trip to Australia and did some sight seeing in Sydney on a double decker bus. As my mother later related it (many times, usually and gleefully at family get-togethers), at some point I had to pee and the driver citing local law pulled the bus over and allowed me to piss on one of the tires. I guess back then you could piss in public as long as it was on a public vehicle or building.perkana wrote:I think it wouldn't be the same for us women, though I remember there was one time when I was 6 that I left my mark in a very crowded London street

Re: Kings Of Leon
The one time I saw Lamb Of God on their first album tour opening for Anthrax, the singer spent much of the set puking all over the stage. I don't know what his problem was, but I felt bad for the stage guys that had to clean that up before Anthrax's set.Mescal wrote:Don't real RnR guys just pee on the stage?clickie wrote:What ever happened to the good old days when you used an empty gatorade bottle..and you enjoyed it?

Strange. I'd've thought Kings of Leon would urinate on R. Kelly.

I ALWAYS make sure I go right before I head onstage... I mean moments before they announce the band name...you think people would be smart enough to just work it into the show somehow. I would never explain my disappearances and it'd seem like I was trying to get more anticipation out of the crowd...

Both Tyler Durden and Brad Pitt dig this band.Brad Pitt wants to book Kings of Leon for his wedding
Brad Pitt is planning to tie the knot with Angelina Jolie, who he got engaged to in April 2012, and is hoping the Kings of Leon - which includes brothers Caleb, Jared, Nathan and cousin Matthew Followill - aren't on tour on the big day. The 'Sex On Fire' rockers have a few U.K. dates lined up for the summer, including headlining Isle Of Wight festival in June, and Brad it hoping they can make ''dates work.'' A source told The Sun: ''Brad ended up partying with Kings of Leon last week. He spent most of the night talking to Caleb and he sounded them out about playing. It will happen if they can make the dates work.'' Brad and Angelina have been trying to arrange the ceremony at their French chateau for the past three summers, but other commitments have delayed their nuptials. A source added: ''It's been a long time coming but finally it is going to happen.''
