Re: Kings Of Leon
This track sounds a LOT like vintage U2. Kind of a cross between the tempo of "Two Hearts" and the frenzy of "Electric Co.".

Re: Kings Of Leon
that's Bono stopping by to collect his roylty check and to beg them to not to imitate U2 again. Seems it went smooth enough for him

Thanks Artemis
I got a pair for the Toronto show yesterday (Amex Front of the Line). I'm not sure if I am going to go to the London show because of the hike.

if i lived in des moines, drove a lifted truck, and worked at a gas station, i could see myself being a pretty big fan of that.Tyler Durden wrote:This track sounds a LOT like vintage U2. Kind of a cross between the tempo of "Two Hearts" and the frenzy of "Electric Co.".
my playlist would probably be:
kings of leon
nickleback
stained
puddle of mud
.... etc. etc. etc.
Re: Kings Of Leon
I don't understand. The band prefers to urinate in kitty litter laced trash cans rather than the restroom?
Re: Kings Of Leon
That's really weird.
Is that their rider? Must have garbage cans filled with kitty litter?

Re: Kings Of Leon
They couldn't be bothered to traverse the fifty yards from their dressing room to the restroom (also, not a private restroom I believe but one shared by other bands) or pay for their own porta pottie (which some folks are known to do).
I guess they are to be commended for the litter in bucket work around instead of just peeing on the floor?

Re: Kings Of Leon
Hey, if I was in a popular rock band, I'd probably go for the pee bucket on my rider, too. Props, Kol's.

Re: Kings Of Leon
With many bands pushing their 60's these days, I wonder how they manage to do more than about 45 minutes on stage without practically pissing their pants in vain efforts to get to a porta-potty backstage. I remember seeing P.I.L. a couple years ago, and at one point Lyndon basically rushed a song to finish and claimed he had to take a break to take a piss before his "old man's prostrate burst." I figure someone like Ozzy or Keith Richards basically wear astronaut diapers and just fill 'er up through the show.MYXYLPLYX wrote:They couldn't be bothered to traverse the fifty yards from their dressing room to the restroom (also, not a private restroom I believe but one shared by other bands) or pay for their own porta pottie (which some folks are known to do).

Ozzy has a porta pottie on stage, hidden behind risers. Supposedly he started that whole water cannon spraying down the crowd shtick as a way to hide his frequent accidents on stage...Pandemonium wrote:With many bands pushing their 60's these days, I wonder how they manage to do more than about 45 minutes on stage without practically pissing their pants in vain efforts to get to a porta-potty backstage. The bucket trick is not entirely unknown in the industry, but it is usually for on stage emergencies as you mentioned, not for the backstage/dressing room use.
And really, the most egregious aspect of this incident was their leaving it behind for others to handle. That's what prompted the guy to post about it...

This could be the start of a bladder evacuation revolution. The common man has been repressed in his work place for too long.
