I'm going to pass on Montreal for the 17th. I saw someone posted in one of the Cure groups that hotel rooms are going for about $900 in Montreal on June 17th. The Montreal Grand Prix is June 16-18.

I'm going to continue to periodically check for June 14th. I'm almost at the point where I don't care anymore.
That's a cruel twist of fate with the Grand Prix clash.
Resale tickets have been popping up pretty consistently for every show - some of them weirdly good. It just take a bit of persistence, sadly. And luck. Will continue to cross fingers for you.

I saw them last Thursday.

They were fantastic. And I am not even a huge Cure fan.

I was shocked at how Robert is still able to hit all the notes in that high register.

Ah, yes, The Phoenix show was fantastic. Then again, they all have been - have been to five so far on this trek.

His voice is remarkable - he seems to defy age. There were a couple of shows I saw last autumn where he could barely speak between songs as he had 'McFlu" and I was convinced they'd pull the show/cancel the next, but no. 2.5 hours done and he still managed to nail it.

These are good times for The Cure. Very good.

I saw them last night.

The band sounds great. Good setlist ...not great. From the songs they have been playing they didn't play some of my favorites like A Strange Day, Cold, At Night, Primary, Charolette Sometimes and The Hanging Garden. The new songs sound good live. I didn't give them much of a chance after a few youtube listens. My other minor complaint is that another favorite Shake Dog Shake just sounds off. Is it the three guitars or the keyboards or both? It sounds too busy.

I was wondering whether you'd made it.

Agreed on the setlist. I think it was the weakest of the set list of the tour, personally. The Disintegration trio in the first encore is always nice, but it did miss a few of the gems you mentioned during the main set. The performance was stunning, they're just always on it. I have to admit that I love this lineup as a whole and they seem to be enjoying being together more than I have seen for decades. That said, I don't understand Perry - he just seems like a bump on a log. I have joked that he's the Covid insurance policy as he can (kind of) cover for Reeves and Roger if they were to get ill, but I don't think that's genuinely the case - he just doesn't contribute much to the playing, whether on keys or guitar.

I think the whole vibe with SDS now is just one of chaos and busyness, so I get your point, but I think it's part and parcel of where they have been with the song since 2016. It's been a bit of a staple in the set since then and the visuals now sow chaos - the music fits. This is the fattest lineup they have had, so with six members, it's only ever going to be fuller.

The new songs are great, I think. It's hard not to be pulled in - which is more than can be said of the last album. 'End Song' is shaping up to be a firm favourite lyrically and sonically- I think they'd do well to top that on the new album, whenever that arrives.

The back-to-back grief songs at the start of the encore are heavy. It amazes me how he pours so much into the performances night after night - It seemed pretty clear to me that he was in tears (or close) when they started the next song. There is no mailing it in.

It was pretty surreal - I'd managed to only get lawn, at first. Kept fishing and landed something in 203. And kept looking on the day of the show. Front row seats popped up at 2pm.

I still haven't found tickets for Toronto(6/14). I don't work Wednesdays, so I will have time to be on ticket alert in case something comes up on the day of the show.

wow...I got 101 Row T which were pretty good but I checked everyday and nothing better popped up. That's pretty awesome.

The last time I was at shoreline was 2009. I don't know if it's the 100% electronic ticket system but I have never seen lines so long to get in to the show or the parking lot. I got there at 5:30 and didn't get in until 8PM. I try to avoid that place as much as possible.

If you keep checking I'm sure you will get tickets. I saw a lot come up for my show. Mostly lawn tickets but it's better than nothing.

Echo creep's sentiment - assuming you have patience, keep trying. I have managed to 'upgrade' tickets for almost every show so far. The system is frustrating as tickets literally last 1-2 minutes, but works. With the re-sale tickets, keep in mind that there is no timer and basket. 5 people can select the same tickets and the first one to pay gets them,

The trick is to start checking the week of the show,In particular, the day before and the day of the show. Simple logic applies here - people end up bailing on their plans and sell their tickets. Keep faith. I got amazing seats for both SF shows on the day of the show, after two and a half months of nothing, Hang inn there. So many tickets became available for today's show this morning and early afternoon.

And as an example - Portland is the next show - it sold out immediately. There weren't any resale tickets available earlier. As of tight now, there are a dozen or so, including floor.

The whole thing was nuts. I had been trying for 2-3 hours on Saturday and kept missing out by seconds, then a pair popped up and I bought them without even looking to see where the seats were (I knew from the price that they'd be better than what I have). After I bought them, I looked and saw AA. Today was also crazy - I had 102 row R from the original sale - then today 'upgraded' to H, then to F, then D, and A. I sold 4 sets of tickets to find my way to the front, but well worth it.

Am guessing you didn't go tonight? It was the one to go - I won't offer up spoilers in case anyone doesn't want to know, but I think this was the best set of the tour. The longest, plus they played the things you'd listed above.

I did take a look at the setlist last night and yes it was a lot better plus they added One Hundred Years. :thumb:

Just catching up on the thread. Glad you guys have been able to go to some of the shows and enjoy, PB and Creep! Great videos!

Having never been able to see them live, looks at the setlists have me damn excited.

Yesterday and today I've seen lawn tickets come up on Ticketbastard, but I'm holding out for seats or a single seat in the covered section. The current weather forecast shows 40% rain for the 14th. My days of standing outside in the rain for a concert are over. :oldtimer:

Keep trying! Persistence pays off, if you have the ability and inclination. I have seen a lot of re-sale tickets come up on on the day of or the day before the show. Even in the first five rows. People get sick, life happens, plans change - these last few days are where there will be the most action. The Portland show was sold out from the outset - then the 24 hours before the show saw a flood of tickets being listed for re-sale - so many seats on the floor and even front row. Hang in there.

Any joy yet?

Have seen a handful of tickets today for Toronto - singles and pairs, in all sections apart from the 100s.

A lot of tickets were coming up for sale on Monday and Tuesday, but no tickets yet for me. Budweiser stage is probably my least favourite music venue in Toronto. The location sucks. Going there is okay, but coming home is always a pain in the ass; crowded on public transit and nightmare traffic if driving. Also, I'm very picky about seating location. Many of the seats that were coming up were extreme left or right which I don't like. Any tickets that came up that were more in the centre were scooped up before I could get them. Lawns are definitely out; too far back for me. Plus with all the rain we've been having and expected to have today, it's going to be a muddy mosquito buffet. (I know...kvetch, kvetch, kvetch. )

Anyway, I still have today.

The last couple of weeks have gotten away from me with work and home stuff. PB, you were right. The show was phenomenal.
