I think he's making a mistake playing with those 3rd eye girl girls. He should surround himself with players that are at his own level like he did ten years ago e.g. when Sheila E, Maceo Parker, Eric Leeds, John Blackwell etc were in NPG. Still cool to watch of course cause it's Prince but it could be so much better

Prince will appear on 'New Girl' next year
Prince himself contacted the show's producers and asked if he could appear in the series, as he was such a big fan. He pitched them an idea which involved one of his pajama dance parties and was given the go-ahead. The episode will air Stateside on the Fox network on February 2, 2014.

I know I've related the story of when I saw Guns n' Roses play supposedly their longest show ever which was close to 4 hours x 35+ tunes back in '91 at the LA Forum. It wasn't the fact that they were playing dozens of new songs off the 2 Use Your Illusion albums which hadn't been released yet, it wasn't the fact the show was poorly paced and was so long, but the fact they didn't come on until well after midnight made it especially grueling and to this day, it is the only concert were I finally made it home *after* the sun came up that following morning. The arena was half empty by the 2/3rds mark.

I've seen a few Springsteen shows that've come close to the 3 1/2 hour mark that I really enjoyed from start to finish.

Springsteen was awesome. I would love to see this show too. Though I wouldn't be sure about lining up outside. I'm fucking old. I try to get a numbered seat nowadays.
I remember trying to get a nice place to see Arctic Monkeys and only to find out that kids had begun the line since 8 am (I arrived at 6 pm). I didn't see shit and had an awful time trying not to get crushed. I never thought their music would awaken such aggressiveness in these kids.

He's doing two shows tomorrow night - I can't believe they'd allow anyone to camp out overnight. Saturday's show at The Fox was civilised. I got there half an hour before doors and was right at the front. Don't believe the hype!

Prince has patched things up with original record label Warner Bros and will (finally) release remastered (and in some cases deluxe multi-disc) releases of his original 80's-early 90's albums as well as new albums including the recently recorded album with the all-female "Eye" band. Probably the best thing for Prince, he now has control over all his masters.
