Now Playing...
Re: Now Playing...
This is what Strays should have been as a come back album. The Bad Brains came back on this album and it stood up to their old stuff.

Merci! I haven't heard that one for a long time. I used to think it was a Stones song..cuz his voice sorta sounds like Mick's a bit.ant wrote:Thanks ArtemisArtemis wrote:

Here's one where van is some falsetto.Reminds me a bit of Beck crossed with Prince.

I love it! I think I'm going to have to get into the VM back catalogue. Obviously I'm missing a lot.Artemis wrote: Here's one where van is some falsetto.Reminds me a bit of Beck crossed with Prince.

One of my faves is The Philosopher's Stone. It's 2 CDs(30 songs) of unreleased outakes and rarities from 1969-1988.ant wrote:I love it! I think I'm going to have to get into the VM back catalogue. Try For Sleep is another track from that compilation where he's experimenting with the falsetto voice.

Very much agree. While I wish HR had been a little more cognoscente on the album, it was a definite return to form.Juana wrote:

Few rhythm sections are as tight as Earl and Daryl.
Re: Now Playing...
Yeah HR was a bit off on the album but he has always been a little flaky like that. Been listening to "Rock For Light" a lot more lately. Love that album.
Re: Now Playing...
I've been on a covers kick lately. I think this is a good one.
