maybe one of the worst songs ever recorded (not counting delicious grace)

It's a perfect example of one of those tracks you'd hear on a low-budget show on the Discovery Channel or something when they transition from one scene to another, where it's clearly written as a sound-a-like of something but they don't want to pay the fees to get the real thing.

Looks like this will be the first run of Fall shows that Charlie Watts won’t be drumming. Apparent recovering from some surgery.

I read that as well. Apparently he hasn't missed a show since 1963! And, he said he expects to be back on the road next year for the Stones' 60th anniversary!! :yikes:

Steve Jordan is a fine replacement; he and Keith Richards get on well from what I've read.

In the 90s I saw Charlie Watts solo in the mid 90s "Charlie Watts Quintet". Such a good show, he was really in his element, smiling the entire concert.

I pre-ordered some stamps from the Royal Mail special issue...with shipping just over £100 worth. Since I haven't been spending any money on anything, I figured, 'Why not? "

I'm not a serious stamp collector but I get ones for musicians, I have some Elvis stamps, Hendrix, Beatles, Buffy St Marie, Leonard Cohen, and some others.

Happy 79th, Keith! Crazy that he's still alive and still playing! :bday:

This is a snip from a music site on FB. I literally laughed out loud.
Many happy returns to Keith Richards! What's your favourite Keef story?
And what's your best memory of seeing him play live?
Our favourite yarn is probably the one about the longest time he ever went without sleep:
"Nine days without a wink. I fell asleep standing up eventually... I was just putting another cassette back on the shelf, and I was feeling great, and I turned around and fell asleep. I fell against the edge of a speaker. Woke up in a pool of blood, wondering 'Is that claret?'"

I like it also. I’ve probably listened to it 5 times in its entirety. It’s good for new music coming out now. Nowhere near the classics though. Just a different time now days. I’m interested to hear what Andrew Watt does with Pearl Jam. Supposed to be some good drumming on the new album.
