Buh-Bye, Scott Weiland
Although it was pretty much a poorly kept secret since Weiland supposedly tried to rejoin Velvet Revolver several months ago, it's now official that he's been kicked out of Stone Temple Pilots again. I guess the DeLeo bros made their nest egg enduring the reunion thing and flogging the same set with Scott the past few years and have enough money socked away to call it a day. Amusingly, Scott is about to do a tour with a solo band performing most of the "Core" and "Purple" albums.

I thought this thread's title meant he had died.
Oh well, maybe next time...

Re: Buh-Bye, Scott Weiland
I heard about this dating back to September, when they were on what is now their farewell with Scott tour. Basically he's drinking and on pills and they were sick of it. They'll get back with him in 3-4 years when big money offers come in like they did in 2008.

Not really. I haven't paid to see them since 2002.hokahey wrote:6767kv wrote:who fucking cares? i mean really
They started playing the radio hit setlists on the radio station festival circuit, and after seeing some shoddy drunken live shows on Weiland's part on youtube, I wanted nothing to do with it.
I'll download any music those guys put out, but unless it's a different frontman I won't go see STP. Scott is a trainwreck and it's not worth the risk to pay 60 bucks and then stand around for 3 hours of silence between bands.
Went and saw Army of Anyone back when they were touring, and they were great.
I think the Deleos should hire Ed Kowalcyzk of Live. (he was fired by his band too)
