Eh, you can't make everybody happy, and you shouldn't try. I think it's pretty damned good for a free one. Working for free for something that isn't a charity is something to which I'm fundamentally opposed, but Pete gives his music away for free, so it seemed pretty appropriate.

Anyway, I was going to put texture and shading and such, but Oz and Pete liked the raw version, so I just left minimal. At one point there were dozens of doves in all different shapes and sizes crowding the cover, but Oz wasn't into it, so I put them on the back, which worked out nicely, although I'm not sure the back was ever included in the download. :hs: :noclue: Organizing things with Oz was a little tricky.

I bet he thinks organizing things with you was a pain in the ass.

But we all know Oz is almost brain dead, so I'm with you on this one.

I liked that artwork Jasper did.
Made me want to pick up my own guitar and play...
I guess you'd call that inspiring.

pic of Jasper's cover? I'm unable to d/load the album and artwork where I am ATM.... and I think that if I don't get to see this image now, now, now, now, I don't think I'll have anything to complain about... well I'll have one less thing to complain about..

It was just things like me sending a really rough draft to see if they liked the idea, and it says "rough draft" in the header of the email, then the body of the email says "hey, here's a rough idea of what I'm thinking of for the cover. I'm also gonna do this and this and so on, so tell me what you guys think." and the next morning it's up on Pete's site as the new album cover. I ask Oz why it's there and he answers something like "Oh, I thought it was done."

I second that! Great work, Jaspar. :thumb:

The cover has a playful quality which sort of captures Pete's essence, I think. I like the colours too.

Oh, yeah, forgot to add that. It is, by far, the best cover for a Pete record. Great, simple work :thumb:

Yeah, that was by far the best cover. I didn't mind a few early ones with him holding an umbrella. I'm thankful he puts out free albums, but sometimes I wonder if he gets rushed. I end up liking about half the songs on a lot of newer stuff. I also wish he had a full time drummer. I'm sure anyone would lend their skills at the drop of a hat. Well, yeah. Not digging the new cover. Seriously, anyone of us could make that one better. Well, I love you anyways Pete. Glad he keeps productive. Its an inspiration.
