This is their best offering since OK Computer. I love it......even if I was a bit dubious when I first heard Burn the Witch.

I thought that the video detracted from the song.

ya dude i love it. We have a Sacramento branch but it only does service work and smaller contracts. Are you still in Sacramento? I was actually up there last year for awhile bidding a job taking the top off of a dam. I hadn't spent any time in Sacramento prior to that, I liked it.

I don't want to get all 'radiohead is the best smartest band ever' here (although they might be), but the shape of the moon changes every minute, and pools can refer to things other than what people swim in.
my 9 year old pointed that out to us when we were wondering what they were referring to.

I had a few hours in the car today and listened to the album repeatedly. the songs are so good and the explorations so rich that during the last listen, I found myself wondering if I had heard a particular song previously, even though I knew I had heard it an hour before. songs that presented themselves one way sounded completely different on the next listen. this is another masterpiece.

one question - someone posted that only three songs here haven't been played before. obviously identkit and ful stop were played on the last tour and TLW is one of thom's all time classic ballads. but which of the other tunes are old and had been played previously?

Burn the witch - "teased" live is a better word. Never really played live, but not a new song in the sense that it's been around since at least "hail to the thief" days.
Daydreaming - I believe this is entirely new
Decks Dark - I'm pretty sure this is entirely new.
Desert Island Disk - Thom has played this at solo shows.
Ful Stop - Played on the king of limbs tour
Glass Eye - I'm pretty sure this is entirely new.
Identikit - Played on the king of limbs tour
The Numbers - This is "the silent spring." Thom has played it at solo shows before.
Present Tense - This dates back to "In Rainbows," Thom played it acoustic a bunch and I believe there is a full band version?
Ticker tailer..... - this is new i think???
True love waits - duh.

Last night was my fifth Radiohead show, blew me away as always! one of the better set lists I've seen. Maybe on-par with the Greek Theatre show I was at in 2006.
Main Set
Burn the Witch
Daydreaming
Decks Dark
Desert Island Disk
Ful Stop
My Iron Lung
Morning Mr. Magpie
Lucky
Pyramid Song
Like Spinning Plates
Bloom
Identikit
The Numbers
Everything in its Right Place
Feral
Idioteque
Bodysnatchers

Encore 1
True Love Waits
The Present Tense
2 + 2 = 5
Lotus Flower
Paranoid Android

Encore 2
Airbag
Reckoner
I had never been to the Shrine before, and it was a really interesting venue with the Moorish architectural. They had the expo hall in the back open with a DJ, bars, food, etc, so it was really easy to kill time in the venue. I definitely expected Radiohead to go more of the slow/melodic route given the intimacy of the 6,000 seat venue, but this was easily one of the most energetic Radiohead shows I've seen. Thom's energy was on par with the "Atoms For Peace" shows I had seen.

The set started with the five opening songs from "A Moon Shaped Pool" played in order which was honestly the low point of the concert. Radiohead have started all the shows of the tour this way, and by now they seem to be a little bored of it. Still - "Burn the Witch" as a rocker works incredibly well.

I can check "My Iron Lung," and "Like Spinning Plates" off of my bucket list. Identikit was easily the highlight as far as the new songs.

Out of the 3 times I've seen them do "Pyramid Song" this was easily the best. The venue was perfect for it, and Thom was spot on.

I missed the King of Limbs tour, so "Bloom" "Feral" and "Lotus Flower" live were a treat also. Lotus Flower has this cool sped up arrangement that I really enjoyed.

Yadda yadda, I could talk about it all day. I hope they tour again.

I've only seen two shows: In Rainbows and KOL. I sat this one out :nyrexall:
P.S. I saw Thom Yorke 2 years ago with Athoms for Peace. Flea was there too

Radiohead are headlining on the Friday. Glastonbury has lost its appeal somewhat for me.
