Nice!

I got tix for the Oakland show. Missed out on the floor but got decent seats. I've seen them about a dozen times over the last 20 or so years so I'm looking forward to seeing them with Josh now.

Ak isn't going to have a relapsing dn on a tour. Not to mention what has become of the band. Had ea remained, there would have been a slight possibility. Plus pf has a bad history with people from back in the day who do him favors. Ask Trent and or ea

Ain't gonna happen.
All of this is true. However...I honestly think Dave attracting more chicks than Anthony is the real reason Dave and RHCP parted ways and why this will never happen.

I laugh...but I am dead serious.
I've read that here. Who knows really....can't be discussed. What we do know is that AK can fuck just about anyone he wishes to. :boobs:

Makes me think of something I read somewhere.

Every rock star wants to fuck a super model, and every super model wants to fuck a red hot chili pepper

What the hell said that? Something Anthony wrote in his book Scar Tissue?

Maybe whoever said it was referring to these supermodels?

As long as they could play on that super party for Abramovich on St. Barth on NYE it is all good.

:noclue: I'll have to presume that they got paid very well for that, or that AK didn't appear sufficiently hobbled....or both.

Let's clarify something right now. There was a time when Jane's Addiction was a INFINITELY better than the RHCP ever were and ever could be. RHCP at their best weren't even close to Jane's Addiction at their best.

Right now it is.

At their respective "bests" Jane's dwarfed the Chilis in every way.

That is not the case today and hasn't been for at least a decade and a half.

I really love(d) the Peppers. Up and incl. OHM but i cannot get into anything they've done after that. :noclue: It's not only that i don't like it which is always a matter of personal taste but i think it's just lazy mediocre radio music - and they could do better i suppose.

My thoughts exactly!

I miss Flea. I had the impression that the last albums were John Fru records, not really rhcp records.

in your mind, not in mine. I can't say which is better, Ritual or BSSM. I think it's a tie, both are mindblowing. The Chili Peppers in 91 weren't dwarfed by anyone, they were fuckin badass all of them

We're farther apart than you think. NS is superior to RDLH.

:ns: is the best of all time.

Nothing's Shocking and Ritual easily dwarf anything the RHCP have ever done. Jane's Addiction in 1990 was like Led Zeppelin with Iggy or Jim Morrison as their frontman. The Chili Peppers NEVER (nor nearly any other band of any other era) oozed cool like the original line-up of Jane's Addiction.

I agree with this I love NS and still listen to it almost everyday. I don't listen to RdlH nearly as often and I believe that the Chilis are a better band now. Back in the earlier days I would say Jane's namely because back then I liked NS a lot more than the Peppers but the albums that RHCP have put out even the newer ones are far better than anything that Jane's has done since 97

Totally! :thumb:

Seriously though, the Chili Peppers (before BSSM) came off like a schtick/novelty act comprised of good musicians. Rubin helped give them credibility and shape them into something that demanded more serious attention outside of the (sub)genre they were working in.
