Didn't Ed Gein or Jeffrey Dahmer say that?

Did I tell you I went to the French Laundry last year? It was a gastronomic extravaganza! It was the best dining experience I have ever had. They have earned each of those 3 Michelin stars.
Oh Shit! No you didn't! Bouchon is down the street....I want to go to both!

One day I'll buy us both a meal there.....

Sounds like you two will need a chaperone. I volunteer.

Cool video but it really doesn't work in the confines of the song. The stuttering effect of the animation clashes against the rhythm of the song. However that one brief image of Flea standing on top of the locomotive rockin' out's gonna stick in my head for a long time.

FUUUUUUUUUCK....I was so happy they chose this as the next single and was really hoping the video would harken back to the look and feel of the "Warped" video, considering the song has some dark elements to it.
Instead we get this herky-jerky animation that makes me wonder if my computer is too slow to run the damn video. Pisses me off. Remember back when music videos were fucking great? Before all the computer graphics? I'll take the "Warped" video over this, and Jabba the Hutt over Jar Jar Binks. But then again, the darker parts of the song are outweighed by the poppy, happier portions so a dark video wouldn't have worked I suppose.

There are some cool scenes like Flea on top of the train, Anthony pulling the devil puppet's strings, Flea doing the Homer Simpson floor dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt0qeIrdRpk), and Josh looking like has constant vertigo...but I'm disappointed a bit.

...upon my second viewing I already like it better

It's actually quite good on a big, wide screen. Also, the words or narrative are not the lyrics so they or the director went to some trouble to add another layer. Watching it as a small youtube clip doesn't do it justice. Go for the big screen and reassess.....

add to that their inspiration by a venice beach artist, I'd say this video is INSPIRED. Better than Jane's has offered in their two videos thus far. And I'm in the Jane's camp. Rooting for them. But this video is cool.

With all due respect to BC.....I don't understand the rivalry thing where Jane's and the Chilis are concerned.

Both LA bands.....the Chilis in 83 then Jane's in 85-86.

The Chilis have been prolific, love it or hate it, and Jane's impotent....for the most part.

I wish them both well....but over 20 years I adore the Pepps and regret Jane's......for a million reasons.

But hey, they are both trying

It has come to the point where I don't even care to press play. Don't give a fuck for a band I used to worship :wavesad:

I wasn't referring to any rivalries between the Chili Peppers and Jane's. More I was stating that I don't often level any criticism at Jane's or participate in the pages and pages we find here of people lamenting what they are now. I meant I was in the Jane's camp and hoping for the best in terms of their success and creative output. But the RHCP video gave me pause. While it is similar to many out there, it is inspired by a local LA artist who designed record covers back in the early days and that serves as a cohesive element. And I think it works. Simple, yet it has more gravitas/substance/soul than what we recently saw from Jane's
