And in a more serious note, I just heard 4 sounds quite similar to gunshots. I'm staying 15 minutes away from Wembley. And there were two more just now. I'm gonna check Twitter.
EDIT: nothing on Twitter, must've been cars or something. See ya later, people!

I just read a stadium in Hannover, Germany is being evacuated.

The HDI Arena in Hannover, which was due to host Germany's international football friendly with the Netherlands, is being evacuated.
A stadium announcement said the game had been cancelled, the Associated Press news agency reports.
Police have also blocked the road outside the ground after a suspicious suitcase was discovered nearby.

After the Friday the 13th attacks in Paris,, a few things have happened here.
Let the hate crimes begin..
-A mosque was burned in a small city about 130kn from Toronto
-A woman wearing a hijab was beaten and robbed yesterday on her way to pick up her kids from school. She was called a terrorist and told to go back to her country
Anti-islamic graffiti sprayed in an apartment building, across from the front door of a Muslim family " Muslims go home!!! We do not want you here!”

I don't think I could facepalm any harder about how stupid that kind of reaction is... like... what... multiculturalism unless afraid, and then... what... inbreeding? Jesus christ...
Re: Paris, again :o(
damn thought larry was being a bit dramatic...doubting anything else was gonna happen this quick...but they are clearing out an arena in Germany as we speak...
Re: Paris, again :o(
Nothing happened at Wembley, everything was alright. There were heavily armed police on the way out, though. They all had some sort of machine gun type of thing. It was a bit surreal, I felt like I was in Israel or something.
Re: Paris, again :o(
It must have been very emotional when everybody sang La Marseillaise together. I would have cried for sure. If you have pics, post them.
Re: Paris, again :o(
Looks like they've found a few in northern Paris who they were after in . One woman has blown herself up and is now enjoying non-alcoholic beverage with 72 virgins (men?) on a beach in paradise.
Seriously, reports suggest that the suspects were planning another attack.
2 dead, 3 detained. No hostages.
Allez la France.

I didn't take many pics, but I will post the few that I took tomorrow. It was certainly a special match, and it's definitely not an occasion that I'll forget easily.Artemis wrote:It must have been very emotional when everybody sang La Marseillaise together. Just in case you haven't seen it, here's the rendition of La Marseillaise.

Wake up this morning to hear a motel in Mali has been stormed by gunmen with up to a hundred hostages. These morons must really want to piss off France.

With Turkey's downing of a Russian fighter jet today, we just took a big step towards WWIII.
Re: Paris, again :o(
weeee
Re: Paris, again :o(
Especially as the Turks are part of NATO. On the radio, some guy was saying it's been happening for the last couple of years between Russia and Turkey. They do rely on each other for various natural resources mind.Pandemonium wrote:With Turkey's downing of a Russian fighter jet today, we just took a big step towards WWIII.
I hope Putin calms down otherwise this will get very messy. Especially as the pilots were killed by a separate Islamist group who are opposed to Assad. And it looks like the Siberian rescue helicopter was destroyed by hardware supplied by the UK or the US. Moscow's underground was also, supposedly hacked by Daesh

The UK will pass a vote to start bombing Syria by next week, GUARANTEED. Expect some fun in London over Christmas...ISIS supporters have issued a new warning of an imminent Paris-style terror attack on Moscow - with a chilling message on the city's underground WiFi network.
The network, which is available on Moscow's underground rail system, was named: "Paris was yesterday, Moscow is today".
Re: Paris, again :o(
I don't think it's likely that this will escalate into a world war. Turkey is a member of Nato, true, but they're just in a really confusing position in this conflict because they have been dealing with the PKK separatists for so long, but, like Al Qaeda, the PKK are fighting Daesh... Basically the Syrian thing is a mess, and it's unlikely to start anything larger unless actual "sides" coalesce. Right now everything is mixed and fucked up.
Re: Paris, again :o(

Re: Paris, again :o(

Re: Paris, again :o(

This attack is worse than the other two. For the simple fact that it's a vehicle that is the weapon. How do you stop or control that?
