The bit of how voting is actually being an accomplice of the current political order is a point I've been trying to make for well over 8 years now, finally I hear it from someone who could actually influence people. Good.

I was going to make the same point in the American thread in response to Hypersonic's point, but more about how the Western Left have used the lesser-evil reasoning of its voters to triangulate even further to the Right knowing they can rely on the Left/working-class to habitually vote for them ("nowhere to go"), enabling them to adopt more right-wing policies to better ensure their victory. It ends up self-defeating.

Of course, this is all said under the FPTP systems we live under - I wouldn't be agreeing so readily with Brand if we had PR parliamentarian systems (thinking Nordic, but most of Europe offer the same) that didn't restrict your options and rewarded support with equal representation.
