Are STP still playing? After that train wreck we saw just a few weeks ago?

I opened for Helmet a few years ago. Not the same. Only Page and some hired band. Red Fang is great! Clutch is great too.

First festival line up that I have liked more than 2% of the line up ()

The 2nd day line up is really good. Hopefully, they sell single day tickets. Does anyone here live in the Sacramento area?

They do sell single day tickets. I bought one for Sunday.

crap.

I just might have to go to the sunday show.

That is a pretty good lineup and I would love to see FNM again.

Jane's would just be for kicks, and my wife could see janes for the first time, she has known me and my obsession (early on) for my entire ride.

Tickets are very reasonable. Just not looking forward to the rental car and parking and hotel.... blurg......

Anyone know when the lineup schedule is supposedto come out? Probably not for a while, October is a ways out.

Maybe I could get away without a hotel, but FNM is probably the last band. :noclue:

that park is in sort of a sketchy area. don't know if there are any decent hotels near it but if there are i would look somewhere else.

thanks for the warning. this might just be to much time/money to be worth it, though the crowd might be an interesting divergence of cali people I don't normally experience, it might be a bit much for a whole day and $$$ for what it is. :noclue:

Cali hotels suck, or are very, very expensive.....

Oh, there's always camping....... now that might be interesting. :hehe:

See the day time people watching will be enough for me........ I don't know much about these other bands, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Snot.....do these bands attract the same sorts of folks from the central valley as say, ani difranco??? Who are these people? :hs:

I don't leave sf. Or if I do, I make sure I go somewhere in CA where few other people are going that day. :bored:

I don't see what you did there. I don't tape anything, the only thing I have ever taped was the janes Portland relapse show on one of those handheld dictation devices, and I haven't seen that tape in about 20 years. I think I lost it in the parking lot.

it's a reference to "Superhero" from Sol Invictus... you can tape really well on an iPhone if you have one.... anyway, go & enjoy!

I'm kind of dreading this! Crowds for the few large shows I have been to in Sacramento tend to be...colourful. In a shallow gene-pool kind of way.

I'll be going for FNM—JA will give me a reason to get there earlier. Sad times...

See.....this is why I am not keen on being "asleep" in the midst of a colourful crowd with the only thing between me and shenanigans is a thin nylon wall. :balls: :drink: :noclue:

Gimme mountain lions and rattlesnakes and black bears anyday............
