Re: Russia vs The Ukraine

I work with a team in Ukraine and Belarus. I spoke to one of my colleaguesin Kiev this morning and he was in a shelter as the air raid siren had gone off. This is really worrying. Putin has lost the plot completely. Complete lunatic. _5YeX8eCLgA What does he want with Chernobyl? Any infringeme...

Heard this on BBC 6 Music at the weekend. They're called Sault, I love their stuff, very chilled out.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?

So two weeks ago I went to see Jim Bob from Carter USM. Saw the Chartlatans on Saturday night and I'm off to see The Human League supported by the Thompson Twins this Saturday! Three gigs in three weeks after a two year hiatus and the first two have been amazing.

Re: RHCP

I'm going to have to give it a miss. $140 for standing plus travel and accomodation to London on a Saturday night.

For two people that's EASILY a $700 night out.

Sounds very Blue Oyster Cult with some other weird shit thrown in. Why can't talent come up with something new? Frustrating.

I always find oriental series/films either brilliant or a bit meh. New series on the way too. I still don't understand why Parasite got so many commendations?...

I'll try and get to one of those in the UK. Unless it's mid-week in London then I've got no chance. Hopefully they do four or five venues over here.

I also found this interesting. Yet more evidence of pharmaceutical wishing to push their own product for big bucks whilst dumbing down the rest.

It seems the US and Israel have been the Guinea Pigs for the rest of the world. I'd rather not take the risk with my two. Vaccines stopping transmission isn't as good as first thought....as stated by someone from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, not myself (I'm not a medical prof...

My mum went into hospital with COVID yesterday. She was fully vaccinated. Her initial symptoms were very mild, but then got more severe. Alas, she is in the 70+ age category, where the majority is going to suffer. She seems to be doing OK though. My dad also contracted it but has come through unscat...

I like them! Very much late mid-late 90's Indie. The Verve/Bluetones/Embrace vibe for me.

I had my Astra Zeneca jab a month ago. Felt awful the next day. No temperature but weirdly, felt extremely hot and lethargic. Woke up at 3 am and could't get back to sleep. Was absolutely fine the next day albeit a sore arm.

I watched Blue is the Warmest Colour the other day. Three hours long!! Sexually explicit but a superb story and extremely well acted. In French but subtitled obviously.
