Re: Janes/Porno Update
https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/perry-farrell-says-one-more-janes-addiction-album-before-he-dies-would-be-awesome/ Sounds like we won’t be getting new Janes but Porno is releasing Aqua later in the summer. I wonder if it’s just been sitting around since 2013 along with Little Me? LOL, the faceboo...

Re: What's annoying you today?
Some might remember last July I got slammed in my car totaling it from some speeding idiot who tried to go around me in front of Fingerprints Record store in Long Beach. So since then, my insurance company has been trying to settle with his insurance (he's been ruled like 80% responsible) and he wen...

I am not 100% certain, but I think The Damned lineup will include originals Brian James and Rat. They planned on a reunion last year which of course was shelved due to Covid but have rebooked the dates in the UK for next February.

Jaz has been living in Mexico the past year and a half and last week posted a video of a fishing trip in which he took a backwards header off the boat and somehow was seriously injured.

Re: Coronavirus
Japan baffles me. They seem to be super organized and ahead of the curve as a society on a lot of things, but the government really dropped the ball in the aftermath of the Fukushima meltdown and now the Covid response.

Re: Lollapalooza is a Full Go
I think it's going to be messy this Summer with a (US) vaccination percentage still far below herd immunity. Individual states are going to have different rules especially for venue limits and events requiring "proof" of vaccination or negative covid tests and maybe masks for entry is going to be a ...

Didn't Chaney try out for or even play for one of the post-Freddy Mercury iterations of Queen?

Re: Killing Joke
Got the 10 inch vinyl of KJ÷93 this week. This is from a several day recording session back in 1993 of Jaz, Geordie and Joy Divisions' Peter Hook. The 3 songs are decent, basically guitar, bass, synth and vox with some laid back percussion/drums w/no credit who’s playing but it could just be sampled...

Re: George Floyd trial verdict - Poll: Will Chauvin be found guilty?
I was under the impression they were 3 different options for the jury to convict, not that they could convict Chauvin of (all) 3 levels of murder/manslaughter - I mean, he killed the one guy once.

ohhhhhh boy. not looking forward to the second dose. :drink: Same story everytime. At least it gets better after a day or two. :thumb: It's weird. Re: Coronavirus
Everything was great up through about midnight last night after we got the second shots that morning. Around midnight, significant achiness in my neck, arm and joints, mild headache, hot and cold sweats set in and no way to get to sleep. All three of us have exactly the same symptoms, all three of u...

Re: Coronavirus
My wife, son and I all got our 2nd Moderna shot together this morning. Wife told the nurse giving me the jab today was my 62nd birthday so they made a big, embarrassing deal out of it. I felt like one of those old fuckers at a rest home. On the plus side, zero issues so far with any of us.

Re: Would Perry be Canceled Today?
I don't think anyone cares or even knows who Perry is these days so I think he's safe. I do think a band like Jane's or just about any artist or band with any sort of edge up through the end of the 90's would never get past first base in today's culture. Everything and everyone is so polarized and e...

I feel the exact opposite...I really wanted the two shot it's almost 30% more effective at preventing covid :noclue: And like 10% better at serious covid prevention...and since you can still pass it to those without the vaccine..seems a no brainer...well at least people are getting what they wanted...

Today is 2 weeks after my 2nd dose. No symptoms after shot 1 (Moderna). Awful, Awful flu like symptoms for 24 hours after shot 2. I couldn't get out of bed. However, very, very happy to be fully vaccinated. Yeah, I hear from a lot of people who got the 2nd Moderna shot that you feel like absolute c...

I have been waiting patiently for word on my invitation to the line. I've had multiple opportunities to get vaxed through various means, but have declined. I'm a Kaiser member and 54 years old. Re: Coronavirus
I wonder how Perry got his vax (his 2nd?) ahead of most of the under 65 crowd last week? California didn't open up to the under 65 crowd being eligible until today and those are only people who are essential workers or those with pre-existing conditions. Maybe he got it as a bonus with his latest ro...

Yeah, I’m not too high on humanity these days. Last Friday I got a call from my insurance regarding the accident where I got hit in front of Fingerprints Records in Long Beach last Summer.
