Re: uk jane's dates
To the UK people What is the best source to buy tickets? Never done that for the UK so .... Hey! Off the top of my head, seetickets.com, stargreen.com and ticketweb.co.uk all have tickets. Pretty sure that ticketmaster.co.uk will also be selling them. Prices are pretty much identical across ...

Re: uk jane's dates
I vowed Centro was my last JA gig. I caved, bought a ticket for Brixton. Be good to see anyone going from here. Dannyboy, PB, its been a while. I seem to remember you (or someone with a similar set of letters!) saying that at the time. Hopefully i'll be meeting up with dannyboy so would be good to ...

Re: uk jane's dates
Really.....I know yr a musicaian, but this is the most spot on, articulate, and insightful thing said about the different versions of the band I have heard any of them say. This makes me want to go to LV Amen SR. I wasn't joking yesterday when i said that reading Dave's interview is what made me gr...

Re: uk jane's dates
Got my ticket this morning.. Live nation presale. Hope he doesn't lose he's voice again. Still pissed off about reading. Mate, i'm a total Perry devotee but even i have to admit that it might not be such a bad thing if he does lose his voice again... it's not been sounding good recently. Hopefully ...

Re: Berlin
Yeah, i tried juggling the 2 in my younger days... mainly because of the reasons you give! But then people started getting eaten by sharks. Perils of living in Summer Bay i guess but i still thought it was daft. And there's obviously nothing daft about Neighbours at all...........

Re: Berlin
Australians have an awful accent. Kiwis do too, but I actually prefer it. How dare you sir!! :lolol: Personally, i love the aussie accent with a total passion. Not surprising given that 2 of my biggest loves in life are the show Neighbours and surfing (not necessarily in that order). So, growing up...

Re: Berlin
On the aussie english thing... the few times i've been to Canada, they always know i'm english (and generally get quite excited - maybe that's me more than the accent!). The first time i went to New York however, they couldn't make their mind up whether i was a brit or an aussie! I don't have any re...

Re: uk jane's dates
OK, it is a Nothing's Shocking show... but tickets are just shy of £50 with fees. I won't be going. FISHBONE FISHBONE For fucks sake... I've only gone and got a ticket. Much like this band, i'm a joke. It's all Dave's fault - I read that interview about playing the songs as they should be. Plus eve...

Re: uk jane's dates
Tickets are £37.50 if you buy at the venue. £43 if you buy online with transaction fee. Do Jane's play encores at these NS gigs? I'd be hoping for Three Days and Stop. Yeah, £37.50 is face value but both venues are 100+ miles from me so not an option to walk up to the box office unfortunately. Chea...

Re: uk jane's dates
I'm surprised by the size of the venues, to be honest. I can't help but feel they'd do well to fill those venues, but perhaps I am projecting...I can't see that many people caring. Especially at those prices. And you can bet they'll be doing Reading/Leeds. Danny and Japh  Hey PB, trust you're...

Re: uk jane's dates
Yeah, i'm assuming they're gonna get added to the Reading line-up? It's either that or V and they're deffo not a V festival band. Probably having another go at Reading given they cancelled it the last second last time. I honestly need to find out if this is a NS show though... that really will make ...

Re: uk jane's dates
and the sad thing is that i'm really, really struggling to even care. I went to the last show here with dannyboy and, even though it was a decent show, I was happier at catching up with him than the gig itself.
That said, if it's a Nothings Shocking show, i probably will care.

Future Islands It's all about these boys right now! Can't lie, only discovered them post-Letterman but i'm totally hooked... In Evening Air is such a great record. Their London show sold out almost instantly but i may road-trip one of the other dates. Other than that, i don't have much going on gig...

You know, i came straight to this thread today as i simply wanted to write "life" and leave it at that. However, after reading some of these pet related tales, I'm actually pretty good... nothing really to grumble about at all. This thread has honestly made me grateful... and i obviously feel for yo...

Not too much booked in at the moment - off the top of my head, Ry X, Damien Jurado and Pearl Jam. Might grab tix to see The Orwells but that whole scene looks a little too young to an old guy like me nowadays.

Re: Up The Beach sampled in rap song
Zach is a big part of them giving their music away he is very pro-fan (hell they made legit tapes and handed them out to people at a loss). I agree that whole ordeal makes them (Zach and co) look bad though. But on the bright side they did fuck a major labor out of a lot of money, so at least 1988 ...

Re: Up The Beach sampled in rap song
I don't know if this has ever been posted, the album came out in 2011. Death Grips uses Up The Beach on the first song of their first album. I never listened to them before and I heard a song off the money store that made me want to look into them more. The song is called Beware and the album is ca...
