Re: The official "The Great Escape Artist" thread
Dave is the same way. Three years ago, he was saying that it's not Jane's Addiction without Eric Avery on bass. These days he's saying that Jane's Addiction is so strong that it doesn't even matter who plays bass with them. Course he's going to say that. He's going to sell Janes for whatever t...

Re: USA and gambling. What's the deal?
i'm pretty sure with all of the indian gaming anyone can get to a casino within a two hour drive. the gaming industry has definitely taken a big hit the last few years though. i can see more states getting involved in gaming for the revenue since they do not get anything from the indian casinos. I ...

Re: USA and gambling. What's the deal?
I'm only 39!! I've been working in the industry since '96. I guess the UK has a different slant on how it is seen, as fruit machines have been in our pubs for years. I guess it could be seen as seedy. It's all touch screen now and Internet so maybe technology will change the way people think. :noclue:

USA and gambling. What's the deal?
OK, I work for a UK company owned by an American company (AMI Entertainment), and I design slot machines. I know Vegas and Atlantic City have been the two main gambling meccas in the states. Illinois has just passed a law to allow a whole bunch of new casinos to allow 'gaming'. http://www.suntimes.c...

Let's not call anyone anything too derogatory on here. I like the members because
a) They have knowledge
and
b) They make me laugh
I wouldn't like to see anyone getting banned for being a retard.

Re: The official "The Great Escape Artist" thread
i like that ETTL and Irressistable Farce have totally different vibes. They almost don't sound like they should be on the same album together... which is what was awesome about Jane's 1.0. It might not be a metal song next to a punk song like in the past, but as long as the musical styles are all o...

What films have made you cry?
They were discussing this on the radio this morning. I can only think of three that have had this affect on me. The Elephant Man, Watership Down (damn you Art Garfunkel) and Schindler's List. It's weird as the audio has a lot to do with it for most people I would imagine, but audio along with visual...

This is exactly right.I also think that the people that will stand up are such few and far between are afraid to do so because they'll more than likely be ignored or shunned.
How many people does it take to make a change or start a revolution? As Ozzy rightly said "I don't know".

A friend just called me to ask me if I was free for a booze trip in two weeks. We're going to take a train (from Guadalajara) to the town of Tequila. From what I read at the site, there's going to be a mariachi band, food and booze on board :drink: I was in tequila in 2002! Loved it! We also bought...

Yeh, Arsenal are gonna struggle this season. Yet again, week 1, and the diving has started. Good point for us at Fulham. And great to see Utd spend £19m on a dog shit goal keeper.
