A bunch of old .ram files
I'm in the process of reclaiming all of the old ANR content and came across a bunch of old ram audio file interviews. Weren't these listened to with Realtime? Some of them are pretty cool. What should these be converted to? Does anyone use Realtime anymore? Anyone want to help?

Re: Why don't Americans protest more?
Because we're fat, distracted, and happy with never actually getting anywhere or accomplishing anything so long as we have a bag of potato chips and a flat screen.

Re: What will this site become?
Basic site structure is complete. Nothing too fancy. Making use of some of the old ANR art. It's a nostalgia trip for me, but I'm sure most won't even recognize it. Now comes the tedious work of pulling all the old content.

October will be 15 years since my first Perry show - Porno for Pyros in St. Louis. Hard to believe it's been that long.

Re: NFL
I think they will take their division depending on how Jim gets the 9ers to respond but I believe they're a year or two away from a surprising playoff run. They do need to use SJax while they have him though and keep him fresh for the playoffs as no one in the league runs angrier than he does. Did ...

Re: NFL
Rams looked very sharp tonight for a preseason game. I can't help but think the combination of Spag's D, McDaniel's O, Bradford, Jackson, Long, Lauranitis and on and on are going to surprise a lot of people. In fact, I think they could make a strong push in to the playoffs.

Of course nothing is free, but taxes should pay for education. :balls: :banghead: That's what these neoliberals don't want to understand. I think you mean neoconservatives... who call themselves "classical liberals" or "libertarians", but have sort of missed the point of, say, Locke. That all makes...

Re: Republican Debate 8-11-11
The Civil rights movement wouldn't have got off the ground if everyone thought like Ron Paul, even though Ron Paul himself may be in favour of civil rights... his view is simply inconsistent there. That's where you're dead wrong. I gotta tell you, you really need to read some of the man's books bef...

Re: Republican Debate 8-11-11
As I said in the other thread, even though I dislike him (for both reasons and non-reasons), he sometimes says things I agree with, though almost always for different reasons, which is interesting in itself. I'm for individual liberty, but I have a different conception of liberty than Paul does. Hi...

I don't think anyone can actually believe we should do all the things he's said we should do, over the years I know quite a few that do. Did you watch the debate last night? Did you hear the cheers and applause he received everytime he spoke? He has a relatively small but very dedicated and vocal f...

Re: What politician do you hate the most?
I don't have time or energy to hate any politician(s), but I do have more or less respect for lots of them. The politician I respect the least is Ron Paul. I find him disingenuous and painfully one-track. Here's a good example of Ron Paul probably convincing a lot of people of something that isn't ...

Did anyone watch this? Ron Paul was incredible in the 2nd half. They ignored him for the first 50 minutes. It's painful to sit through the neocons waiting for Ron to hand them their lunch.

Nothing will ever top Point Break for the best modern heist movie, IMO of course. U2 has never really done it for me. They're a perfectly acceptable band with a handful of great songs, but to prefer anything they've done over RDLH or NS is crazy to me. Those are albums to start revolutions to.

Re: The future of Eric Avery with Jane's Addiction
I've seen Rollins spoken word twice over the last handful of years. Great shows. He knows his music if nothing else. I really enjoy his concert stories and reflections on the last 20 years or so of rock.
