Re: True Blood (HBO)
I FF'd through a good chunk of this week's EP. The nonsense with Eric and Sookie in what appeared to be a snow globe screwing just put me off. I keep waiting for the witch lady to sing "Heaven and Hell" in Ronnie James Dio's voice while flashing the devil horns. Jason's still pretty though - droppin...

Re: Now Watching...
I really watch very little broadcast tv aside from True Blood with the wife. It's mostly dvd and Blu-ray movie rentals/purchases.... However, my wife and I got into "Operation Repo" re-runs the past month on the Tru-TV channel. I know it's all staged bullshit and probably as trailer trashy as it get...

The '97 Enit show is only second to the 1990 Hollywood Palladium show as far as Janes shows I've seen which include 3 other 1988 - 91 shows.

Re: Irresistible Force
I have to admit, since downloading the multi-tracks for the song and fucking around trying to do a remix, I've grown to like this song.... a bit. I've certainly come to appreciate all the guitar work Dave put into the tune that unfortunately is mostly buried in the final mix.

Re: Warrant Singer Jani Lane Dead at 47
I actually have to admit I saw Warrant twice back in their heyday. First time I saw them was in early Spring of '89 when I was a part time DJ at The Marquee hard rock club in Garden Grove. I saw a lot of horrible hair metal bands either on their way up or going downhill fast play that club. Warrant ...

Re: The future of Eric Avery with Jane's Addiction
I think his material is too local... you Americans are amused by different type of stuff, and Rollins' might just be too American for my particular taste. Basically, the guys a bunch of phrases that are supposed to sound cool and badass and the guy's personality is like "yeah, i'm very tough and ba...

Re: The future of Eric Avery with Jane's Addiction
I'd say there's a small chance when the band inevitably gets inducted into the RnRHoF Eric might reunite with the other three guys for a couple songs but I wouldn't bet on it. I'd say the odds are as zero as zero gets concerning another tour or song (much less and album) from the original four guys....

As good as that Vibes show appears to have been, it would have been even better if they had stuck with the printed setlist and also played Ripple, Then She Did and even burned out Chip Away. Still, throwing in 2002 tour instrumental cover staples of Pink Floyd's In The Flesh and The Who's Sparks plu...

you've got to be Hype. :lolol: Your vocabulary is too broad not to be. Yeah, I let Hoka know that I signed up under a new name. I don't mind still being referred to as "Hype", but I wanted to distance myself from "Hypersonic" because: a) I don't listen to Strays, and b) most people forgot that the ...

I watched this awful sci-fi/horror flick called "Preist" over the weekend on Blu-ray. Initially I thought this movie might be a lot better than the preview I saw months ago would have led me to believe. But unfortunately after the first vampire attack, it turned out to be a pretty simple, lousy movi...

Looks pretty bad on the news. What they're showing in places reminds me of the LA post-Rodney King rioting back in '92.

Coen Bros can be madly inconsistant from movie to movie. Most of their stuff is brillient, but man, they've farted out a few big time clunkers like SM as well.Matz wrote:I just watched 'Serious Man' by the Coen Brothers, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. More fun to watch paint dry
