The End Of Moammar Gadhafi's Rule

So it's End Game time in Libya. It's not even a matter of days before Gadhafi either flees the country, gets captured or killed by rebels or commits suicide. He's even more of a loon than Saddam Hussain was, so I wonder if he's got something up his sleeve for one final act of defiance.....

Re: Smashing Pumpkins Theater Tour Dates

That's the first time I've heard WWMM and it's pretty awful. The drums which under Chamberlain and even on Adore where often a highlight of any given song (even mellow ones) are so compressed and shitty sounding, it's like someone bippity-boppin' on tissue boxes on this track. I checked on picking u...

As for the arena thing, that concern is very relevant to the gig I'm on right now, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit concerned. :scared: In '84, at one of Bruce Springsteen's arena shows I caught early on his Born In The USA tour at the LA Sports Arena, a pair of large, garbage can-s...

Re: iPhone

A key question would be... Have you synced and u0ploaded your library to several other Apple devices through your PC's iTunes account? If not, you *should* be able to sync the new iPhone to your PC/iTunes and upload all your music, etc to your new iPhone. If you're getting any sort of "delete librar...

I don't think it's fair to judge Josh until we hear the album. Anyone notice Harry Perry in the video? How long has he been playing that same guitar? 15 - 20+ years easily? It's been probably a decade since I've wandered around Venice but yeah, I noticed him and a couple other boardwalk old-timers ...

I like the video. I like AKs look. I think the song is ok. If this was how Jane's had matured I wouldn't be upset. They're not embarrasing themselves here. I can see how an old school fan wouldn't love this but so what? I like how the whole Venice Beach thing going on in the video. I wish Jane's wo...

i don't really understand the need for these huge structures. are lights really that important for a show? they could probably scale them way down for outdoor shows. The structure is also necessary for the speaker PA to be supported and stacked. You can't have speakers at ground level and expect th...

Re: West Memphis 3 to be released Friday!

People seem upset that the only reason they may get released is if they plead guilty or no contest to the crimes. Which is understandable. The state of Arkansas is looking to save face here, but in order to do to so they are putting the WM3 in the position of not gaining a single thing from this ot...

OK, I work for a UK company owned by an American company (AMI Entertainment), and I design slot machines. I know Vegas and Atlantic City have been the two main gambling meccas in the states. Illinois has just passed a law to allow a whole bunch of new casinos to allow 'gaming'. http://www.suntimes....

Pretty distasteful when you consider that Bon Scott was a binge drinker who died of acute alcohol poisoning. I liked "Eye" from the Lost Highway soundtrack (great film and great soundtrack), but only as sort of a one off kind of deal. I dunno. For me, when I hear Billy's voice I am immediately taken back to Siamese Dream and I long for that dreamy, summertime, massive wall of noise psychedelia. I'm more o...

That said, I still think no words should be "unacceptable" so long as they're not directed at other members of this board or not used to purposely and directly offend another member. I have to disagree. Some words are extremely offensive to certain groups of people. I've seen what happens on a boar...

No movie has ever really made me cry, but there's been a few that have at least provoked a deep emotional response: A.I. I didn't really bother with Heaven and Hell, do people think these guys have it in them to write an album that doesn't suck? I caught Heaven and Hell aka Black Sabbath w/Dio when they first reunited a few years ago and it was a surprisingly good show. The 3 new songs they did for the "Best Of Dio" ...
