Re: Dave and Eric on new Iggy Pop Record
I don’t get rock’s new obsession with Andrew Watt either. He produced the last two Ozzy albums and the forthcoming latest Morrissey album. He’s allegedly slated to produce Pearl Jam’s next studio album.

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
I think Daniel Ash being fully involved would be very interesting. His limitations would force the band to do something different…as opposed to them recording material that might attempt to mimic music from over 30 years ago and it sounding redundant. Josh Cringehoffer gives me douche chills. His st...

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
There has always been acrimony between the band. Since the beginning. They broke during NS sessions (12.5% shirts), Eric and Perry hating and not talking to each other for years, RDLH sessions band didn't go to studio together (except three days), the fist fight between Dave and Perry (concert wi...

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
Stickyfingers…I know you’re being cheeky here…but the soap opera drama is no longer amusing; way past its best before date. It’s annoying as fuck and makes the band look bad. The amazing five year ride of the original band is being incredibly diminished by decades of bullshit acrimony. Even the orig...

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
If Dave is not recording with them, I feel like Peter Distefano and Daniel Ash are the only appropriate players to sit in. Much like how I feel Martyn is the only appropriate replacement for Eric. That being said, this is beyond frustrating. After 33 YEARS of prick teasing, this band still can’t get...

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
The whole re-rendering of the Nothing’s Shocking cover…WTF is up with that? Sure, I get it…something to do with Etty being triggered or whatever (grow up)…but why not just create some new artwork for the tour and poster? The wolf poster for the tour with Smashing Pumpkins was suffice and didn’t piss...

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
There is a barrage of comments asking about Dave all over the band’s social media accounts since this latest announcement. It’s only fair that they be completely transparent; especially after how the last tour was handled in this respect. Fool me once, shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me. My att...

Children’s Music
I have a six month old. Anyone have any suggestions for children’s albums, etc. Looking for music that is specifically geared to or made for children (and adults), not the stuff we generally listen to as adults.

Re: Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
Imagine throwing away your future as part of the original Jane’s Addiction (with possible new recordings) because you are loyal to Chris Chaney.

Jane’s to play the Palladium in March?
Someone on Facebook is stating that they have “good authority” reporting to them that the band will play the Hollywood Palladium in March. Yes, I know this is just some rando on social media…but aren’t scheduled to play Lolla somewhere around this time? The timing kind of makes sense. Prep show for ...

Re: Navarro: What makes him great?
No one from Jane’s Addiction has done anything interesting since the mid 90s. They’re all past their best before date.
As for the critique of Dave Navarro as a musician, it’s an absurd premise and people are splitting hairs. Regardless of his current state, he was a guitar god in the 80s and 90s.

Re: Navarro: What makes him great?
Dave’s guitar solo on “Underground” is better than Josh Kringehoffer’s entire musical output…and that’s from crappy Chaney’s Addiction era.

Re: Alt Press Article on tour/new music
The idea that Dave may be upset because Chaney is no longer involved with Jane’s is just comical (though it may be true). The guy was total dead weight and added nothing. The antithesis of what Jane’s Addiction was/is. Chaney is beige pants and plain yogurt, personified. Dave should be thanking the ...

Re: Alt Press Article on tour/new music
I find it super sad that it took Dave basically quitting the band for Perry and Eric to finally truly patch things up from 30+ years ago…or at least that is the optics. Same. It sorta doesn’t feel like a coincidence either. Part of me thinks Dave decided to leave when Chaney was let go…like he’s ju...

Re: Official Spirits On Fire tour thread
So for anyone who cares, that tour poster came in a poster tube. I did order 2 shirts though, so maybe that's why it got put in a tube as opposed to loose. Also, the white shirt is Tultex, not Tulex like I said earlier. I’m kind of a merch snob when it comes to quality…so I can’t believe bands are ...

Re: MetallicA
I want to like Metallica…or feel like I should, but I’ve just never “got” them. I became familiar with them around 1987-88. Never listened to their albums (including the much revered first three or four). Am I really missing anything? I found them too “macho” or alpha wannabe. And it’s ironic becaus...

I have no issues with TR's singing and how that's evolved over time - the issue for me me is the growing role and influence for the chinless wonder that is Atticus Ross. The more involved he's become in the writing, the more pedestrian they've become. I don't give a fuck about the soundtracks, but ...

Anyone know what brand of shirt(s) they used for the tour merch and what is being sold on the official site?
